I immediately lose respect for those who complain about something without providing a single reason. You're lucky if you land one of the two hits with the plasma thrower on bipeds and it has a charged attack that's practically unusable, making it the most inconsistent melee option. So your issue is with a weapon that has a 50/50 hit rate and when it's usable on a quad it becomes a problem? There's valid criticism, but this isn't it.
I have a great CQC Lamm that works a treat: LEFT ARM: Pulse blade (make liberal use of blade cancelling to close the distance; this is the primary punish tool) RIGHT ARM: Harris (for stagger-confirms and the occasional extra punish damage) LEFT SHOULDER: Explosive thrower (for building stagger; especially useful when used right after a pulse blade cancel; can be used as a distance punish tool and is one of the only ways to hit vertical builds) RIGHT SHOULDER: Little Gem (for general ACS build-up utility; also handy as a punish tool if out of EN/too far from the opponent; most importantly, the Little Gem can work as a stagger extender for really meaty damage) LEGS: Lamm; ARMS: Basho (cuz melee build); CORE: Alba; HEAD: Nachtreiher (cuz fashion and there isn't any room to squeeze in a heavy head) FCS: Ocellus; GENERATOR: VP-20D; BOOSTER: Fluegel (for good general stats and for the second best in class melee lunge) This build can clean out lightweights in one combo. Here's that combo on paper: pulse blade lunge cancel into explosive thrower while the Harris is charging; pop the opponent with the Harris, which will usually stagger a lightweight if they're hit quickly after the ET lands; whip out the Little Gem, which both stagger extends and spikes the opponent downward, which usually helps with getting the opponent in the same horizontal plane as you for the last step, the Basho pulse blade punish! Congratulations, your lightweight enemy is dead. Also, I disagree that shotgun builds REQUIRE full-on close range commitment. Of course, they usually do, but my most successful lightweight in the game is a dual Zimmerman AC on a lighter generator with shoulder missiles playing a hybrid kiting/jousting style. As a lightweight, sometimes you just can't afford to trade damage and stagger up close with a high-stability heavy build putting out tons of DPS, so I've found that sometimes the best way to play is to hang out in the midfield peppering the opponent with missiles while backpedaling and only AB-jousting with the Zimms when the timing makes sense (i.e., your opponent is low on EN after attempting to charge you down). My missiles are the Javelin BETA (perfect as a counter to people rushing you down, but really bad when used against kites) and the 3-cell plasma missiles to ensure (or get as close to ensuring as possible) reliable chip damage over distance. The 3PM helps prevent your opponent's stagger bar from decaying, which allows you to line up some Zimm jousts when the timing is correct.
Very good utilization of weapons and cool play style. Kinda opened my eyes to how good a quad can be since I usually fall into the lightweight biped trap and don't know the game outside of that context to much. Super cool!
Same, playing as or facing passive builds feels like watching paint dry to be honest. I understand that some players like the minimal effort they require, but it's not for me.

Have been using a design very similar to this basically since the Lammer frame dropped, heh. XUAN-GE over Majestic, and I do use a single-cell split missile over the HMMR, but the same genemral principle applies. Fight a single jump height or so above the ground, use the Lammergeier's speed to force a midrange engagement while the constant explosive blasts from zook and Bomchucker deter and punish over-aggressive OB shenanigans. Lammer rats can't escape a Lammer Exploder, and Shao-Wei+Split Missiles is continuous erratic pressure that sustains ACS build-up between explosive blasts. It's one of my strongest designs. Love it so.
Now this is a cool one. Funny enough I settled on Majestic + HMMR for my PvE Lamm build but everything else looks different. Gonna have to try this out at some point
@@unknownentity2352 True, but melee bipeds also lack stability unless it's a middleweight or heavier. Considering RJs have an amazing kick and the highest jump stat, it makes closing in and dodging that much easier.

So the problem I have is when I'm facing the choice of throwing something at my enemy's face and giving up my energy for doing so
@@SplitFace4393 Sorry, but the explosive thrower is NOT classified as a melee weapon. It's considered a ranged weapon and doesn't benefit from melee specialization as a result.
@@dsaBOSS To be more precise IT IS a melee weapon by itself BUT as it actually uses bombs, that's the reason it's unaffected by melee spec (which is both a con and a pro, but that's another topic by itself), it also is the only melee that doesn't have a PA interference stat. Thing is that it inherits every other downside that melees have, and that's why it delays all EN-based operations (EN regen and Redline). Test it out, trust me
What thrusters and ACS did you use?
The entire part list is in the video.
Interesting u dont seem to use the hover much here. In that case, what makes this more versatile than the wheelchair? Noob here, so genuine question
I'm happy to answer. This can definitely work on a wheelchair. The difference here is I can use the hover mode at my leisure. So if I come across something like a rat or a kite, I can easily keep up with them compared to something like a wheelchair build which struggles in the air. Basically I wanted to demonstrate this build functions just as well on the ground as it does airborne.
@dsaBOSS perfect, I suspected as much. I appreciate the confirmation!
@@Dhovakim Absolutely! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask them.
Oh look, another quad build that crutches on a goddamn hammer. What a fuckin surprise.
For real and people call this a "skilled playstyle"
Lancerlot from code geass color?
Haha that wasn't my intention but I can see some similarities.
This is interesting
Does Basho arms really affect explosive thrower?
It doesn't. It's for the plasma thrower.
@@dsaBOSS shall this build work better with pair of bullet drones, thrower and lighter arms? At least i'd build it this way.
@@sdfsdfsdfsdfsdfsdf3053 You could do that, but you'd lose too much firepower and defense. Explosive Thrower + Plasma Thrower are the wombo combo. Huxley is there for maintaining stagger, so two aren't necessary here. BASHO arms are ideal as they aren't heavy and have good bulk, not to mention the ridiculous melee specialization.
@@dsaBOSS Well tnx, just a bit tired of this arms everywhere.
@@sdfsdfsdfsdfsdfsdf3053 I hear ya, they are just that good though. Most of the time you can get away with something else, but in this case, it helps a lot.
