Get yourself a pair of goretex leather Zamberlan, or Hanwag hiking boots .. You will be happy with your decision to do so... add happy feet insoles, and fresh coat of nikwax waterproofing cream. You'll be thankful for the added comfort, height, and protection they provide on trail in every situation. Having trail shoes are cool for ideal weather but (plus they are so light) but when bad weather ensues and when you have to traverse sketchy terrain, etc having top tier hiking/mountaineering boots will make your quality of life increase greatly. Love your videos. You are special and are an impressive human being. Keep up the good work ✌️😎
I am so glad you played it safe. We have had too many tragic outcomes this year in the Whites dur to poor decisions. Keep having fun! Just love your videos!
Good call. With those winds the real danger on the trail would be widowmakers. You'll probably see a lot of limb and treefall when you resume your walk.
Great livestream. 23:20 If the weather and the views are good when you summit Katahdin you should do the Knife Edge for sure. You would probably finish up at Roaring Brook Campground or Katahdin Lake Wilderness Camp. Katahdin Lake is the east border of Baxter State Park . If you want to go father you could hike into the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. There is not much there but there are a few nice lodges on that side that you could stop at. That is a very remote area. If you wanted to bushwack out of the park and be all by yourself for a few days, that would be the place to do it. 😎👍
Well Stella I’m leaving your channel and some of your fans Arnt very nice. I have watched you since the beginning but I can’t take any more of them . Good luck god speed!
Hey Stella I just started your series and I gotta say I’m very impressed! You’re flying through this damn thing it seems! This is gunna come off as a little rude but I’m gunna say it anyways and people can tear me apart in the comments if they want but I just gotta say you’re a lot tougher than you look! Very pretty gal with those pearly white teeth! Any girls I know with that combo could never do what you’re doing! Keep up the amazing work and thankyou for the amazing content!
Hi Stella, I’m sorry I missed your live stream. I do have a couple of questions for you, maybe for next time. Firstly you don’t seem to be eating enough. Your food intake seems to be at about a normal level, not what I’d expect it to be with all of the calories you’re burning on trail. And my second question is how are you finding walking over all those rocky sections? Many other hikers complain continuously about them but you don’t seem to mention them much. Anyway best wishes for the rest of your hike. I’m really enjoying following along.
Very sorry I missed this live stream. Staying safe at this kind of weather is very wise. I believe Bartman Outdoor is ahead of you on the trail 🙂. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Stella. 🤗🇳🇱
Hey Have you thought about getting a emergency blanket. I think this might help in cold weather or emergency situations. Good luck I really enjoy your videos.
I don't really get the miles crushing thing either. But she has to do at least about 15 miles a day or she wouldn't be able to finish before the winter shutdown.
@@MaxZomboni at 15 miles a day she finishes on of about July 15 based on the location she has posted in videos. My guess is she is a week behind in putting out videos aswell
@@jamescampbell1242 True but that is with no zero days. She could probably do it with 10 miles a day. But that would give her no zero days and no margin of error. Anything goes wrong even some things small, she wouldn't be able to finish. 15 miles a day is the sweet spot.
I can't believe you're thinking about hiking the A.T. and then going straight to finish the CDT. You're a beast! Wow. That's crazy.

Dang, I missed the live stream by 1 hour 😞 However, glad you are taking care of yourself and staying safe 😀
Thank you for answering my question, did I see in a video you had a bivy bag in a shelter?
Hey
Have you thought about getting a emergency blanket. I think this might help in cold weather or emergency situations.
Good luck
I really enjoy your videos.
Liked your video.
Please be careful of yourself and others with how you store your food. NJ Bears are pretty damn good at smelling !!
As a foreigner from down under, i wonder, why you (and most thru hikers) seem in rush to set big miles.
Do 30, do 10. Do both. Or none. Who cares.
