Thank you very much for sharing your hardly won knowledge to us newbies. You teach so precisely, I can follow, and with a few thousand practices I’ll be good. I know it took you years of hard work to find all your tips and tricks, it’s so kind of you to just pass them on.
And in regards to the silly comments...Sam's the best Instructor I've ever seen in action (covers it all & very precise). & I think the model was trying not to laugh...not in pain.
You really are a great teacher & these would be amazing to learn to do on others, but I'd love to learn to adapt it to do your hairsyles on my own head.
Thank you for being such a great teacher & explaining in detail. The last braid, the round one, I would name it "The Rope Braid," because it looks like a rope up close & at a distance. I subscribed after watching this video. Thanks again.
Mary Johnson ? Why is it called a tail hair comb? Sam is so talented and creative? I wonder how he learned how to do braids then after further listening. he explained how. I have. a sister that learned how to braid hair by braiding grass .
I have done this type of braid before but it has been a long time! To which I kind of forgot how to do.....lol! So I started looking up on TH-cam different video's on how to do them again. Well almost every video they were holding their hands somewhat on top of the head or over the hair which is hard to watch and for some reason I find it hard to do! Well I found your video and the way it has been taught is so much easier so I just want to say thank you!
Your videos are so insipering and have inspired me to go to bueaty collage my whole life I have not known what inwas going to do with my life but when I came across these videos I relized my true passion is hair so thank you very much
He did a great job. You have to braid tightly for strait hair to hold the style. I am going to practice your technique. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I am thankful for Samvilla videos I'm will be going to beauty school in May and I came across Sam's teaching videos last month, and I can say I am learning so much watching his videos, beautiful braids he is just awesome, and what a pretty mannequin always smiling lololol...j/k
when you come to Las Vegas! we need a proffesor like you Pls. Pls. Pls. show us all kinds of curls, waves etc. your videos have the original true Techniques
I love your videos. I only know how to do a french and fish braid. I want to learn how to do other kinds. You make them look so easy. You have a great way of explaining how to do things.. keep them coming. I didn't know you are from Phoenix. I've lived in Az all my life.😁
I first learned to french-braid on a barbie doll when I was twelve. Shortly after that, I figured out how to do the "inside- out french braid". I always wanted to do the third combo braid. I always just twisted, then braided at the very end.
Sam Villa, OK can you please do a video on how to do more of a cornrow braid? I cant EVER get that braiding technique 😥 I just want to learn it very easy... Its so confusing even when I have it taught to me?
Cornrowing is just a 3-strand inside braid -- bit it looks better as a 3-strand outside braid. You just work in a very narrow strip rather than the whole head. Pick up more hair as you go along but keep to that narrow strip. Then do one right next to this one, and repeat all the way over the head. Make as many or as few as you like. The basic principle is always the same!! And practice, practice, practice!!!
Love all your videos and I/m a newbie to your channel so I want to know if ;you have a tutorial on how to braid my own hair? I followed along but doing my own hair i can't use my palm the way you are doing it. PLZ HELP!!! Thank you for these awesome videos
hey polly, it's hard to keep things straight when doing it yourself. Even as professionals, we usually have a side that our styles tend to go to :-) I might suggest doing a couple searches for "do it yourself" braids... there are some great youtubers out there that show how to do things easier on yourself.
Practice, practice, practice! Do it slowly, a little at a time, one step at a time.... until your fingers learn what to do by themselves. Don't give up -- we all learn by stating slowly, from nothing, and get better each time we do anything. Just keep on practicing over and over and over and over! You will get it!
No, she is not in pain. She is a model -- she sits there, Nothing more!! There is no feeling in a model. She only needs to sit there and smile. That's her job.
Wow. What?! heh. There WAS an easier, less mind-blowingly confusing way to teach that, heh. ...And that poor girl looks SO uncomfortable. DAMN, he's rough...and MAN, my hair would be SUPER oily at the end of that tutorial.
Beginners never 'get it'. That is why you have to practice, practice, practice!!! It will come. Until you can do it with your eyes closed -- as he said -- This obviously is NOT his first time doing it!!!! He has been doing this since the 80s -- you need to take time to learn.
That's because she is a doll. She is a model!! Her job is only to sit there --- nothing more. He can push her head any way he needs it. She is a model! (What is it about that you don't understand??)
well Sam i think this time you went to far. The poor girl is almost crying .wish some day ,they make you at least one braid so you can feel how much it hurts the way you pull their hair.

Thanks Sam for sharing your knowledge so generously
You really are a great teacher & these would be amazing to learn to do on others, but I'd love to learn to adapt it to do your hairsyles on my own head.
The tip about keeping strands in separate fingers is so key. Helps a ton w 5+ strand braids😊😊😊😊😊😊

What is the deleting fermented between a plait and a braid
Plait is a British term for braid. Same thing, different word.
I know how to do all of these braids. Its simple but sounds more complex
i cant do it im getting so frustrated why is this so hard for me 😓
Practice, practice, practice! Do it slowly, a little at a time, one step at a time.... until your fingers learn what to do by themselves. Don't give up -- we all learn by stating slowly, from nothing, and get better each time we do anything. Just keep on practicing over and over and over and over! You will get it!

Trish Florentine u
I just know them as french and dutch braid
Yes, known by many names -- French, Dutch, English -- or call it the Hanna Braid!! Makes no difference -- still the same technique!
Um you know them as culture appropriation
She probably is. He doesn't seem too gentle.
I usually like Sam's tutorials but this one- the model was in pain.
No, she is not in pain. She is a model -- she sits there, Nothing more!! There is no feeling in a model. She only needs to sit there and smile. That's her job.

kaira latayan تت
She is a model!!! No one cares about pain -- she has no feeling -- she is a MODEL1! [What don't you understand about that??]
Beginners never 'get it'. That is why you have to practice, practice, practice!!! It will come. Until you can do it with your eyes closed -- as he said -- This obviously is NOT his first time doing it!!!! He has been doing this since the 80s -- you need to take time to learn.
Poenut Made perfect sense to me 🤷🏼♀️
😀👏👍👍😍
The model looks soo annoyed. He it's yanking her head around like a doll.
That's because she is a doll. She is a model!! Her job is only to sit there --- nothing more. He can push her head any way he needs it. She is a model! (What is it about that you don't understand??)
Pat Portran but she's still human
well Sam i think this time you went to far. The poor girl is almost crying .wish some day ,they make you at least one braid so you can feel how much it hurts the way you pull their hair.
She is a model. Her job is just to sit there. It is the hair we are interested in -- not her! She is a model -- not a person!!
Pat Portran she is a person just because she's a model doesn't mean she's not human like u and me
She looks like she is smiling to me
why does she look like shes crying?
I don't even know what he is saying
This is hurting my brain
She's trying so much not to scream. This is awesome but her suffering is distracting me. Someone please give this girl a scalp massage afterwards.
Poor model looks in pain at times. But the hair styles are awesome. .
she is grin and bearing all that abuse, LOL im not even listening to the man, shes in pain!!! this guy- needs to bring it down. lol
