    Thank you for showing real tests! I’ve watched over thirty videos on this river 2 and learnt more in your video than all the others put together

    This thing is all you need off grid for a laptop and phone and lights and low watt cooking appliance like the one you showed. Use an inverter in the car to charge it too. Im sold

    For a 256Wh power station that charges in an hour, this River 2 actually takes the cake in terms of speed.

    Thanks for reviewing the River 2. I never knew that it charges so fast that it only needs an hour to get to a full charge.

    Good thing Ecoflow gave the River 2 a 5 year warranty which does reassure me that I bought a very reliable power station.

    Hey! Amazing and thorough review. I came looking to see specifically what would happen if you had more wattage input via Solar than what was rated. Thank you for showing this result as a lot of other channels did not bother to test this feature.

    Thanks for letting us know about the boiling pot option. Been doing vanlife, have never used propane. Since its summer I've been fine bathing with cold this gives me a winter warmed up water option.

    • @DoItYourselfDad
      @DoItYourselfDad  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, you can use any panel, they will just have to have an XT60 connector on them. If you have standard solar-style connectors this is the adapter I use: amzn.to/3MBzvyl

    Hey man I loved the review! I bought the Ecoflow 220w bifacial solar panel because it was a lightening deal on Amazon and was nearly half the price. I also bought a River 2 recently and I was told I could charge the River 2 with the 220W panel... Do you think it'll overload the unit? Was it only because you wired an additional panel? Thanks again for the review

    If I understand correctly these charge stations already have an inverter included built in so I'm wondering if that causes the Android or problems.

    • @DoItYourselfDad
      @DoItYourselfDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they have a inverter that put out 110v AC current (wall current).

    Pump the brakes on your expectations for the River 2. I’ve seen several of these videos that could make one think that this device could be the answer to their power supply needs. It will only run very low wattage devices. (I had it running a small pump at 75 watts. At 100%, it was drained in less than 2 hours.) While in storage, it loses power daily. The solar panel needs an absolutely clear day in the middle of the desert to charge as it claims.
    With that being said, it’ll run something that doesn’t require a lot of wattage for a short time and charges fully within an hour. (Hell of a lot easier to use something like a pocket rocket stove or a Jetboil if you want to make coffee while you’re out and about. My River 2 couldn’t handle my small one cup Keurig.)
    Hope this helps.

      I drink a loooooot of tea, I have a kettle in the kitchen, the garage, and at work.
      I’m guessing you’re UK, your kettles work a lot faster than ours as you’re on 230v and ours is 120v, ours are still faster than a kettle on a stove though.
