Rob Belton is one of the best percussionists I've ever played with. He and I just clicked. It's very rare that you find someone you just gel with out of the gate.
At 51 I still jam this album..my wife says to grow up and wonders if there's something wrong up stairs!! Nope! Just hard to leave what you used to jam to back in the days.

It was like 20 years ago when I was driving from Alaska to Maine through Milwaukee. There was a metal fest happening that I had no idea about so I crashed it for two days, sleeping in my car. There were growling Opeth and emerging Amon Amarth and then these guys. My jaw dropped and my mop was spinning! Going back through discographies of my favorite bands, this is an amazing jewel in the metal universe!
This album to me is the peak of Dying Fetus. It's the concentrated of essence of violence in an audio form. The band is the apex predator in the death metal scene. There intensify and ferocity is unmatched, but copied so often. Fuck, what a band!
Excellent album. Becoming a Dying Fetus fan myself. I'm really picky for my death metal but I find their sound quite approachable, rich and intelligent. A very well balanced and interesting metal band, no doubt
These cats are pioneers. extreme metal would not be what it is today with out Dying Fetus. Reign Supreme is at the top of my list along with Destroy The Opposition
Not much between this and Destroy The Opposition. I think I prefer DTO but only just. These two are definately their best albums by a mile. Wonderful death metal.

Haven’t listened to their new stuff, the latest probably War of Attrition. Then they started headlining deathcore shows which was a big surprise to me; you would think they would move more in the circle of hardcore, or tech death bands instead. Never understood why they did that.
I think the answer is pretty clear, every tech death fan has heard of df, but not every deathcore fan has, so I guess they're trying to expand their audience

Now the 1st version of Vengeance Unleashed was on another Contaminated Cd I like that one better .
