i just mucked around and used smaller sized nappies for different tyre sizes for a trike and did the wheels like yours but small. thanks for the inspiration. i also made my own embroidered burp cloths etc to wrap and use. so looking great .
I have made the regular cakes before and I made a 4 tier but never thought of trying this. If friends baby ends up being a boy I will most likely make this for them. Thanks so much good video
@bonnialex i got mine done already as i needed to drop it off to my sister inlaw today . i made a little one with 3 little carriages. but happy to watch a video if you are showing what you made. i should try and make a video too but been working nights
I LOVE that you made it all reusable, Because when you spend time watching a vid just to see that its just "FOR SHOW" , is VERY agitateing. (in my opinion hah) So I love it and hope to see more, great job!!!!! :)
@Stacy81107 I have not made a tricycle but if I did I would probably use one receiving blanket in a triangle shape to connect the three wheels. You could build up the seat with more diapers covered with a bib or use a basket like the ones they use to wash bottles nipples in for the seat. You can search internet sites for images of a diaper tricycle and see what they used. Good luck with your project, I'm sure you'll do a great job.
hi when you make the one doaper rolled as the anchor how do you fold all the other diapers over it is it just layed on them i do diaper cakes but would love to try one of these
@sewsweet08 I have not attempted a train as yet, if I could see one made I could figure it out though. Have you googled "train diaper cake instructions" I found one that had written instructions indicating a board was used as the base.
fantastic! You can buy netting at michaels or a fabric shop and wrap the finished product in it for presentation, I am going to post a video of all my projects and cakes and one wrapped will be in that video
@sewsweet08 just sat up late and made a train with three carriages, a trike and my first cake 3tier. still need a few more accessories but they look good. my sisterinlaw has her baby on friday. once i started looking i wanted to try them all . i just designed them myself except for the trike. worked out will try and do a video been slack with video making this year.. thanks for your reply
i love this, i hope mine comes out as good as yours. my boyfriends sister is having a boy, she would love this. How much did you end of spending in total?
Hello Salina, I had to make this video into 2 parts if you go to this link I have a video in the tire construction. th-cam.com/video/1rp0gdMkIps/w-d-xo.html
@modelchickny thanks! I have not sold any, I usually make them as shower gifts, but I searched the internet and see they are selling for around $65, or more, depends on how big they are. I taught myself how to do a three wheeler, and I will post that instructional video soon. Just have to allocate some time to do it, :)
Wow that was amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this video. You did a great job! I have seen this type of centerpiece but did not know how it was assembled. You gave great instructions. Please do not apologies, everything you did was wonderful, as you did not have to share this with us. Keep up the good work and keep doing and sharing your wonderful projects. BTW how much would you charge for this diaper motorcycle? Thanks again
I have another video on tire construction that may help, suggest placing a bottle of champagne or her favorite liquor in the middle of the diaper cake, nice surprise
Hi I know it's been a long time but I really want to do the Harley Davis pamper you say you have the 2nd part the one they just show but does Not show you how to do it I hope you can help me thanks💜💜
this was met as a new born gift, so size 1 would be appropriate. you use a larger size but the dimensions of the tires will be larger, but you could give it a try. insert less into the tire and see how it looks. Good Luck I am sure it will work either way
