People that are really talented, and make things look so easy, judges or scouts can miss them. It happens in sports all the time. Tori can shift from the low, to medium, to high keys so easy, and sounds amazing in each. She has all the power she needs, and a great tone. I love her singing in the slower, calm style. Really sounds good.

David's influence. He likes the songs sung as close to the artist known for it. I agree with his vocal notes on this and think it's the best she has sounded. I prefer the thickness in her voice with minimal ad libs.
I love that she stayed true to the original version of the song and did not try to oversing and impress with all the runs and other stuff she can do. I rarely enjoy a Whitney song that is not sung by Whitney, but in this case it just transported me back in time. 😍🥰❤

She did some great coaching on the Idol. I have watched every season of idol, and only one black lady who was a singing coach in Hollywood I think was the best. Does anyone remember that coach and her name. She was very early on in the show like the 3rd season. You could see the singers getting better with her teaching, fast.
