From a Spanish perspective, you must understand we work early and late. Wondering around in the middle of the day and out of season you are unlikely find much open. We are away or resting.
Los Alcatheres, in the way to pronounce it - I lived there for around a year, a little north in Balsicas, and yeah, it's a bit quiet down there, but you'll find it crazy busy in the summertime. many of the houses are second home for Murcians, from the city and wider province. Certainly not my favourite placed to have lived in Southern Spain, but if you are heading west, defiantly take in Garrucha and Mojacar where I settled for about 8 years before returning to the UK, before heading further west on one of the best coast roads in pain, across to Carbeneros!
Thank you for the recommendations. I'll definitely add them to my exploration list. I have stopped in Mojácar already. Very nice indeed 😊 Carbeneros sounds great so will also check this out on my way up to the Alps ⛷️
Those are second homes, hence why there is no one in December. Its pretty common in Spain to have one (either in the beach, the village, or small houses near the city).
So nice to see and hear your voice! 😂 Your old apartment here is still standing empty! Sadly I have no neighbors at the moment. Andy and Sally are in England! Love s
Hi. Thank you for the subscription 😁 I've bought a new mic and it keeps switching to mono 🙈 Trying to work out why, otherwise it's going back. Sorry for the poor audio. I may just go back to the GoPro mod mic 🤔 Rich & Koa.
❤️ we just do our little video diaries and those who enjoy them are lovely, although we also enjoy replying to the keyboard warriors 🤣 There are some funny people out there!
Have a look at Salobreña, a bit further along from Almuñecar. I live a little Inland. A town called Vélez de Benaudalla. Welcome to the Alpujarras and the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada. Stock up on oranges in the Lecrin valley.
There is an aldi and a lidl and a mercedona in Las alcaseras you don't spend enough time in these town to find out what hey offer your far to QUICK TO CRITICISE
Technically the Mercadona and Lidl are in Los Narejos, but thank you for your input. Are your fingers hurting from the uppercase shouting? Were your 2nd and 3rd comments just after thoughts as you forgot them in your initial reply?
@CampervanCasa theres a couple of nice villages with mixed expats and spanish we stopped in roda recently well balanced and very handy for all services
Yes I heard this. The mic is new to me and for some reason I accidentally switched it to mono 🙈 Not sure how, but hopefully I'll not do it again. Thank you.
Los Alcázares is a very busy place even in winter, this guy is only in the Old Town if he went further up to the 525 Strip that is a very lively place with a lot more bars and restaurants, and his pronunciation of Los Alcázares is not very good. Also all the supermarkets he mentions are all there. Come on Campervan Casa get your act together
Thank you for your very opinionated opinion 😂 I will be going back to take a further look and obviously perfect my pronunciation 🙈 PS: This 'guy' is Richard if you did your research 😜
Richard, apologies for my opinionated reply!! I just feel very strong about the area of Los Alcázares. It is a very small Town but there is a lot to do there and it as a lot of what you would need especially the big supermarkets you mentioned in the video. I was out of order so again apologies
Hi. Thank you for your message and insights to Los Alcazares. I will 💯 return and explore in more detail in the New Year. Have a lovely festive period. Rich & Koa.
Hi Rich thanks for the kind message hope you and your family have a great Xmas
Happy holidays!

Completely understand. I also live in Spain 👍🏼
If you think these towns are quite during the day it's the evening they come to life
Finally a sensible comment. Thank you.

Some very lucky people 😁 I'm just looking for my first / main home for once I finish travelling... if I do that is 🤔😊
30 years working on the mainland and I highly recomend Nerja.
Here right now ❤️
The property prices are certainly not reflective of a ghost town.
💯 agree. If I can find something within a 30 / 40 minute drive of a good town I'll be happy, but plenty of time to keep looking.
So nice to see and hear your voice! 😂

Miss you. Was thinking about you just today. You will have to come and visit the mainland soon for some wine and a catch up. Rich & Koa x
Hi from a new sub 👋
BTW your right audio channel is missing for me, but the music is ok.

Hi @@CampervanCasa thanks for your reply. The mic problem doesn't detract from your great content. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. 😊

I moved to La Herradura 5 Years agao. You have to check it. Also my nebighouring towns Nerja and Almunecar.
I'm actually on my way to both of these towns this week. Really looking forward to seeing them both. Love your kind and thoughtful input. Thank you.

La fiesta del ladrillo has definitely ended.
Still plenty of bricks around 😀
Go and live in BENIDORM THAT WILL KEEP YOU ENTERTAINED
Great idea. I'm on my way... You do love a capital letter shout don't you?
La Manga was dead and stuck in the 80;s when we went
It was certainly very quiet! Couldn't believe how empty it was which seems a shame. Great place for park ups though 😊
It is not a winter sun hot spot that's why.
Indeed. Many places are not winter hot spots outside of the main well known towns, but still much quieter than i was expecting. Thank you.

@@jackiemay6357 Great. I love personal insights so i will certainly add this is my list of potential stops. Thank you.
Need to set your mic or recorder to mono...audio only coming out of left speaker ;-)....then the right speaker ;-)
