My family had a store in that town.
That is very cool. I looked at an old Sanborn map from the 20s but by then most everything was gone.
@bumpkinStuffAdventures Back in the 70s, there was some old coo coo who met visitors with a shot gun.
Wow! Was it a squatter? I know some of these old ghost towns had issues with that after they were abandoned.
@bumpkinStuffAdventures I don't know, but he acted like he owned the place. My dad and I visited the town back then, but didn't run into him.

BLM land is completely legal to fly in, provided it's Class G airspace, and not on a Designated Wilderness Area.
