I get what you mean, there's a deep resonant thunk to the metal contacting metal that speaks to the pieces solidness. Less to do with quality as such, but the sheer thickness of the metal parts, quantity is a quality all it's own. Thing probably weighs a bloody tonne though.
What a beast of a case! Ton of mass, machining and finishing went into it. Totally can hear the quality as details slide, revealing to not be stamped from the sheet, but cut from a block. Magnificent stuff!

honestly that is actually a good idea imho. The main reason these cases are expensive is not necessarily because of the high quality material (machined aluminium it seems in this case) but to make those power sockets from molded plastic could add an unreasonable amount of money compared to the quality upgrade you get. Its simply not viable to do this in house, and to make molds (including all the prototyping) only makes sense when you are projected to sell thousands of these cases. This is why you get so many choices in sub 150 dollar cases. Economy of scale. 3d printed with custom cabeling ~20/30 dollars, custom molded power connector ~200 a pop if not more.
@@Rem_NL Machined aluminium is probably WAY more expensive than molded plastic... the molded plastic may be expensive becasue requires "masters" but unless you literally pretend to only make like a docen units it not only is worthy to make but even will be cheaper and higher quality... there is little excuses as if you ever design a case to sold less than 1000 units you are clearly missing the point.
Well Intel processors can be good depending of what you do. If you use your PC like a console Ryzens X3D are vastly superiors, but if like most people gaming takes like 10% of your PC time intel's idle power consumption and performances are superior

Now this is what a 200 usd case should be like. Anything more is a scam, just like all the 200 usd cases sold to us that aren't worth more than 50 (or 100 with the riser cable included)
This costs about $500 US. As I was watching I thought it was a fully open-air chassis and thought that price was ridiculous. However as the video kept going and panels were being slid into to place, I could see and hear that every piece of this is thick, CNC milled (I'm assuming aluminum) and powder coated. The finish looks incredibly consistent as well. While I'd never be willing to spend this much on a case/chassis, I can't say the price is unreasonable given the craftsmanship. Would love it if Xikki sold an open-air version at a significantly lower price cause this thing is beautiful even without all of the other panels.
Great video! Could you comment on how much noise this computer produces? Apparently it is not sound dampened, but the airflow seems to be directed pretty efficiently, so lower rpm might balance that out.
This is such a beautiful assembly, pretty much what I want and need since I started looking at ITXs! I just wonder if they do a shorter version for like a dual slot (x2 fans) GPU
What airflow. The thing seems to be designed with removing circulation outright in mind, every component seems to have a free reign pulling air from outside just for itself.
