I find it interesting how despite being called “Praise Nerath”, most of the lyrics seem to be of the perspective of someone who has been victimized by Nerath. This isn’t “yay Nerath our hero”, this is “Nerath is haunting my nightmares and I’m begging for mercy” and “we don’t know if Nerath is even a friend or foe”. It adds some interesting depth to the goddesses’ followings, that despite their unconditional worship, on some level they seem to realize their goddess doesn’t give a crap about them. Their madness one of torment, driven by nightmares and fear, eyes clouded by mist. They will not wake from their slumber, and their forms will not shed their crystalline shimmer. Not as long as the wintry darkness stands her ground.
Where the Wings of Destruction is a foreboding, terrifying march of death, holding onto the themes of the militarristic Aqasha and Ayzat, Praise Nerath maintains its soft and soothing yet unnerving motifs and melodies. Singing sweetly in, drawing your attention in until you realize just what is happening... but by then it is too late. Once again, a fantastic composition, especially as it gives more of a sense of the distinction between the two followings and the Goddesses. Something I noticed with the two artworks is that in the Wings of Destruction, the focus is entirely on Spike (for obvious reasons) yet you do not see any trace of Aqasha beyond the flames and Molten. It is subtle but it tells you that Aqasha doesn't need to be there for you to feel her presence. But here, you see Naegissa playing with her puppet strings, seemingly the focus of the piece, but then your eye is drawn to Nerath, who is sitting oh so quietly as she overlooks her priestess and the work around her. It says a lot about the characters, and I really like that, even if it might just be a coincidence and artistic direction.
Thank you so very much! And yeah, most of that is on purpose as I really want to give a big differences between Aqasha and Nerath and, honestly, you described it way better than I could have!

This really is like something a cult would sing in a grand cathedral. The artwork as well, especially the now shaggy mane of Rarity really shows how she is truly a crystalized, as the real Rarity would literally faint over seeing herself like that. Truly amazing!

Long life Nerath, Goddess of Nightmares! This song give me chills. It feels like being in a temple, old and forgotten, but somehow full of some kind of dark power.
Glad you like it! And yes, Nerath/Naegissa/Crystallized themed song are more haunting and "religious" than the other side, which is more powerful and epic
I just realized something interesting. Aquasha does appear to speak, even a little bit, through Azyat, commanding her army of molten in one way or another. She speak to the ponies she is destroying. Nerath, unless I missed something, never actually talks- so far anyway. Instead it's always someone singing to her. This is just a theory, it could be incorrect.
@@alphamaccao5224 Yup! I was aware of that- what I meant was while Azyat relays Aquasha's direct words into the song itself, Naegissa doesn't quote Nerath directly in any of her songs. Naegissa uses words like "she". Occasionally Azyat says "I" when speaking for Aquasha.
So far the most beautiful and haunting music of the serie. Wonderful and gorgeous choir. An masterpiece that pleases the great goddess Nerath. Bonus for the artwork that answer the question about Trixie's fate, and show the fate of other two dears characters.
Thank you very much! And yeah, the next IE songs will reveal a bit more about the show characters' situation. Though, in the Prequel's Finale audiobook, I plan to have them still alive at the beginning to show how they became what they are now
@@NotEnough956 don't worry, both sides are the same power. We don't know who could've won, but I think there won't. I do love both of them but I must not choose both of them, I do love Nerath's theme more than Aqasha, and I do love Ayzat's theme more than Naegissa. But still, I love them all ❤
So entrancing... every crystalized song has this extremely dark and powerful atmosphere that just seems to erase every hope to see the light again. Naegissa seems so nonchalant and absolute up there, representing the inevitable end that Nerath brings. Beautiful work, as always! 🖤
Hail the nightmare queen Nerath! Offer your souls to her! Sing her name! Once again, an awesome song. You are on a roll dude! Looking forward to the next one
Thank you very much! :D I don't really know when the next one will be because, I must admit, I have some imagination/creativity trouble at the moment so I'm a bit slower with music ahah xD But I know two more videos are coming really soon: the making-of / choir only version of "Praise Nerath", as well as a simple and calm instrumental track (that has nothing to do with IE)
Yeah her is it again a great masterwork. When i hear that for the frist timr i fell the darkness and the coldness and the power in this song. Great work jyc make more such dark music i hope i will see you again in a live stream. In love TheMiner114
Thank you so much for your support! Really appreciate it! :D I assume there will of couse be more darker music in the future (especially an EP that isn't related to IE, but which is a fan-mix between MLP:FiM and Elden Ring) but I can't really say when. Regarding livestream, I don't really know when I'll do one but hopefully soon!
I wonder, if after a large scale battle between Nerath and Aqasha, if the winning force could take over the defeated units of the other. IE, say Aqasha is forced to retreat, leaving many fallen molten and if Nerath could then take command of them and turn them crystalized.
@@JycRow Ooh, okay, makes sense. Was just thinking if there was a body, but yeah no, if they die and turn to dust then there isn't anything left to reanimate
Well . . . this was bone chilling. In a good way. I really liked it. The choir and cultish style definitely fits Nerath and her forces. Visually, I find the crystalized quite horrifying here both in appearance with the glowing eyes and crystals growing along out of their bodies and their expression in the respect that either their personalities are shining though the corruption (doubtful given the fact they're basically zombies) or (more likely) their faces are frozen in their last expression before they . . . died. I can imagine Rainbows expression of determination as she charges into a fight, not realizing it will be her undoing, Trixie's concentrated expression as if she's focusing on a spell and doesn't have time to process the incoming enemy, and Rarity's stunned expression as if she saw the enemy, but was too late to deflect or get away. When you think about it like this it's actually quite horrifying. Then there's Nerath and Naegissa just standing (or laying in Nerath's case) puppeting them the way they see fit, without careing about the ponies they were before, only their own goals.
@@witherslayer-7315 Thanks, I saw the description and it said you're the artist. I just want to say thank you for making beautiful art like this. I didn't really mention it in my ramble but this is really great artwork you've done that represents the scene perfectly. Plus I can always appreciate a piece with deeper meanings if you look hard enough. Hope to see more of your stuff either in other places or right here helping Jyc Row tell stories.😁
Another great addition to the series! The real choir used in this really gives a gothic sort of feel to it. Also the art gives me goosebumps. It’s as if Naegissa is controlling them with puppet strings with how her ice hands are positioned. Overall this was something different to what you usually do and I think it payed off.
Thank you very much! It was quite an experience working with a real choir and quite difficult to mix everything at the end, but I'm happy how it turned out!
Gods this is so beautiful and haunting and I love it! It gives me vibes of Wrath of the Lich King and I quite enjoy it actually. Similar vibes of the cold darkness one usually doesn't choose to embrace, but is eventually lost in regardless.
FINALY! I have waited for this. To be honest I expected Rarity to be Crystalized. I didn't expect Trixie and Rainbow here. I realy love this. I love the song, I love the art. But the most I love that Naegisa is singing the song to Nerath, while the Goddes just lies next to her nad chilling. Also I don't quite understand the line "we cry for mercy" but maybe if I listen to it for many times I will understand. Anyway, great song. As always
Thank you very much! Happy you liked it! :D Regarding the line "we cry for mercy", it'd be from the point of view of the common Crystallized who praise Nerath to "save their soul" or something in that vibe. In the sense that going under the Nightmares corruption would be a sweet escape, Nerath being a savior or a hero, from the POV of Naegissa (which was already a reference in "Night Queen" from 2018), if that makes sense ^^
YESSSS I love the church/cult sound it has, and sounds like song befitting of a goddess ! (Now I understand why the choir was so scared in that video LOL)
@@JycRow Okay but maybe try and reassure that we are totally not a cult but in fact just music lovers with deep pony backstories lol :D I hope you have a good day :3
This song is very haunting yet beautiful at the same time! This was enjoyable to listen to. But I have to admit: Nerath is way bigger than I thought she was! Perks of being a goddess!
Praise be to the goddess Nerath! Hail her glorious name! Great mysticism and elegance with this hymn. Really does make you want to bow and pledge youself! Wonderful vid work too!
I had noticed this song came out almost a week early on spotify. I was confused, but still listened to it. For me, it has a gothic kind of vibe to it. I love the choir in the background and then at the end of the song, as well as the ethereal voice of Samamtha, the violin solo and now, the stunning visuals. You put so much effort into this song and it really paid off! 😊 Praise Nerath!! May she envelope this world into an eternal crystal darkness!!
Yup! Actually, this song as been featured in the latest Ponies at Dawn album (linked in the description) so it already has been released the same day "The Wings of Destruction" came out on my channel. I was just waiting a week to release the standalone video here. That's why it's already available on Spotify and other streaming platform! :) And thank you! Glad you enjoyed the song! =)
Thank you so much for the kind words! =D And thank YOU for those amazing artworks you've made so far! I'm really looking forward to working with you again! :D
Sounds like a cult- which it WAS I guess now it's a whole religion Well it's supposed to sound like a church song and it does its job more than good Thanks for the awesome music Jyc
Yup! While the Molten are more centered in power and desctruction, having Aqasha as their "peak of power", the Crystallized style is more of a cult or a religion indeed! And glad you liked the song!
Thank you! Hopefully the other songs with less budget will also be liked as much as those one! 'Cause I unfortunately can't hire a full choir for every song I'll work on ahah xD
What a masterpiece, I'm truly awed, you captured fear and greatness with everything you did in this song, praise you all for making such a masterpiece.
@@JycRow Getting a lot of ideas is good, but burns you out. Me and my friend are currently writing a script to voice act. But, we haven’t thought of any new ideas. We also just finished school so we are just taking time and relaxing. Hope you have an amazing summer.
I don't know why this hasn't gotten more attention, this is amazing. I've been here since 'Sun of the Night' and your music is always so powerful and well put together, but this is one of my absolute favourites from you and I think it's one of your best works.
Totally mesmerizing... I stayed stuck in front of my screen listening to this incredible song punctuated by the movements of the characters. It's a real pleasure to have discovered you, I love what you do so much. Hoping to be able to collaborate together for a long time. Long life to you !
I like how Nerath is *chilling* in the background. Ha, get it? Chilling? Hah... Edit: The Crystalized are the ones chanting in the song, right? Does that mean that some Crystalized, other than Naegissa, are still sapient/conscience? When they're resurrected, do they still have their minds? Compromised by Nerath yes, but still functioning? Or are they just shambling zombies? Also once again, the art and music are great! Everyone did a fantastic job!
Thank you very much! To answer your question, yes and no - we can consider that those are the Crystallized voices, but they merely are an illusion created by Nerath/Naegissa Most of the Crystallized - same with the Molten - are just shambling zombies, as you said. And, to be more precise, they're all like that in Infinite Eclipse: Prequel's Finale. You'll see more powerful and sapient Crystallized/Molten in IE:Main Story, though: they are called the Archbishops and, while they're not as powerful as the High-Priestesses, they're quite the enemies and have all their own stories!
Omg! I love Nerath, and so listening to this song was amazing. You all did an amazing job, this is beautiful once again. 🙂 My brothers don't know about this, so once again me and my sisters can scare them with this beautiful song! 👏👏👏
Holy crud. This is amazing as always. It's so chilling as are the crystalline are known for and we finally see what a crystalline look like. I mean we had some idea with the high priestess but it was clear she was the exception and not the rule. Now we probably wait for Aquasha's song and I'll finally probably learn how to say her name.
Thanks! Regarding Aqasha's song, it was released last week - with "The Wings of Destruction"! In previous songs you could also hear how Aqasha was pronounced (especially in Ayzat's theme) but, if you wanna know exactly, it's pronounced : "AKASHA" :)
@@JycRow Oh! My bad I thought Spike's song was like a character song. I still love it. And thank you for clarifying how her name is said I could never understand or catch it.
I kinda want the UEP to get a goddess of their own (maybe made from Twilight and Cadence like Celestia/Daybreaker and Luna/Nightmare-Moon 's bodies became Aquasha and Nerath), like one that embodies life, natural death, creation and emotion. I guess her name would be Iisaht. Her mane and tail would be mist occasionally showing a rainbow, her whole body would be made of the same showing a skeleton made of jewels, representing the fleeting beauty of life, her wings would be made of spider web thin lacework, her horn a clear and perfect prism, she might be nicer, letting the revived (name pending: the Awoken) keep their minds or purifying the Molten and Crystallized, returning them to death, leaving their bodies unmarred with peaceful smiles to be reclaimed by the earth. Just something that popped in my head after listening.
Interesting idea but, unfortunately, there isn't such good gods out there in IE! BUUUT since the Goddesses awoken, something happened and they weren't the only one coming back - not especially in physical form, though, but still, the Primordial Pantheon have awoken in the mere essence of the universe and one specific will be featured in Prequel's Finale - though it'll take time to write :p
@@JycRow Yeah just a random design I came up with while listening. If she did exist would she be pretty? I don't know how many times I can say I love a piece from you before you get tired of it, but hopefully this time isn't it cause BOOOOOOY this was entrancing to listen to! Choirs always give me a bit of a chill and it was done very in this effect. I actually felt myself physically tense up the deeper I got into the music; like a primal feeling it must feel to witness Nerath I bet haha. Grand work Jyc! The artwork is also great, I do like the composition done on it!
Nerath (and Aqasha) is on an absolutely other level compared to anything the livings saw during their short lifespawn. Their power were already huge during the ancient time, 25k years ago, when the original Alicorn tribes were there

One by one I'm finding the songs for this story. Your not failing to draw me in like a fish on a line. The artwork, the music, the story. Irresistible. The more I learn about this and the visuals the more I want to try and do something art related. Maybe I may try something soon enough, if that's ok.
I like to believe that Nerath controls her subjects through manipulation. Luna could enter dreams and stop nightmares but Nerath would instead use these nightmares to corrupt and control her subjects and her heigh prestige would keep them in line at the first sign of doubt, All praise the fabulous Nerath
Now, i love the dark and crystals so if i had to choice i would pick this side but im curious. Can the heros win? Like seriously can they win at all? Edit: I just loves those blue glowing eyes. I don’t know why but i got a feeling a futher ancient being is waking up that's going to screw things up futher or bring balance like a scolding parent.
I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS BUT OF COURSE I FIND IT WHEN I’M OUT OF THE HOUSE SMH… listening to it asap Edit: CHILLS. LITERAL CHILLS. This is enchanting! The visuals and the audio flow so beautifully. You can hear the choir throughout (almost) the whole song, but after Naegissa’s part they truly come in. The Crystallized singing their praises to the goddess of freezing nightmares while still paying respects to the high priestess until she finishes her part- I love it. The song truly paints the scene depicted in the art work. I love the contrasting themes of in your face godlike destruction in attempts to force you into submission, and in your face zealots in attempt to hypnotize you with their fragmented hymns. I am out of words for now! Amazing as always Jyc and everyone else. I knew from just the snippet of the choir singing on that one post from a while ago that this would be so chilling. While wings of destruction sings of dark magic, I don’t think that “dark” magic is anything compared to the real DARKNESS Nerath has in store.
I just listened to it! That was so incredibly bone chilling! Also the part where the choir comes in, would that be the crystalized singing? Some times before in past songs for Nerath there have been people in the background whom I assumed were members of the Crystalized singing. But they were only like an echo of whatever Naegissa said. The idea of them having their own voice in a sense..? Or singing something that's not just an echo of Nerath..
Thank you! Well, we can eventually say that those are the "illusions" of the Crystallized singing, illusions created either by Nerath or by Naegissa, while playing directly in the mind of livings

And yes, Nerath/Naegissa/Crystallized themed song are more haunting and "religious" than the other side, which is more powerful and epic
Makes me think of the old gothic churches in Europe
Absolute chills.
Simply gorgeous and enchanting - simply fitting for the haunting goddess💙
Happy you like it!
It's implied that nerath is speaking to Naegissa, or whispers to her, and naegissa speaks for her going by my interpritation of nerath's theme.
Oh hell yes! What an amazing song! It truly feels like a song you would hear being sung in a church.
Indeed it does sound like it.
Thank you! =D
And yeah, it was supposed to be a "worship song" and seems like it kinda works :)
@@JycRow You're very welcome! Thank you for loving my comments on your latest video.
@@JycRow Also feels like a lament of sorts. Which is an interesting contrast.
Though, in the Prequel's Finale audiobook, I plan to have them still alive at the beginning to show how they became what they are now
@@JycRow Thanks for the info, I am looking foward it
I'm on Team Nerath and boy.. This is great as hell
Im on team Aqasha... and I must admit I lost a battle
Glad you like it! And yeah, I admit I overdid it a bit here, compared to the previous Molten-themed song xD
But still! Both side are great!
@@NotEnough956 don't worry, both sides are the same power. We don't know who could've won, but I think there won't. I do love both of them but I must not choose both of them, I do love Nerath's theme more than Aqasha, and I do love Ayzat's theme more than Naegissa. But still, I love them all ❤
Same.
I'm still rooting for Nerath and Neagissa no matter what
So entrancing... every crystalized song has this extremely dark and powerful atmosphere that just seems to erase every hope to see the light again.
Naegissa seems so nonchalant and absolute up there, representing the inevitable end that Nerath brings.
Beautiful work, as always! 🖤
Thank you very much! =D
Hail the nightmare queen Nerath! Offer your souls to her! Sing her name!
Once again, an awesome song. You are on a roll dude! Looking forward to the next one
Thank you very much! :D
I don't really know when the next one will be because, I must admit, I have some imagination/creativity trouble at the moment so I'm a bit slower with music ahah xD
But I know two more videos are coming really soon: the making-of / choir only version of "Praise Nerath", as well as a simple and calm instrumental track (that has nothing to do with IE)
Yeah her is it again a great masterwork. When i hear that for the frist timr i fell the darkness and the coldness and the power in this song. Great work jyc make more such dark music i hope i will see you again in a live stream. In love TheMiner114
Thank you so much for your support! Really appreciate it! :D
I assume there will of couse be more darker music in the future (especially an EP that isn't related to IE, but which is a fan-mix between MLP:FiM and Elden Ring) but I can't really say when.
Nope! When one is Crystallized/Molten, they can't be changed back and when they're defeated, they turned into crystal dust/ashes
@@JycRow Ooh, okay, makes sense. Was just thinking if there was a body, but yeah no, if they die and turn to dust then there isn't anything left to reanimate
The beauty of the music... i weep upon hearing such beauty 😮❤️
Thank you very much =D
Well . . . this was bone chilling. In a good way. I really liked it. The choir and cultish style definitely fits Nerath and her forces.
Visually, I find the crystalized quite horrifying here both in appearance with the glowing eyes and crystals growing along out of their bodies and their expression in the respect
that either their personalities are shining though the corruption (doubtful given the fact they're basically zombies) or (more likely) their faces are frozen
in their last expression before they . . . died. I can imagine Rainbows expression of determination as she charges into a fight, not realizing it will be her undoing,
Trixie's concentrated expression as if she's focusing on a spell and doesn't have time to process the incoming enemy, and Rarity's stunned expression as if she saw the enemy,
but was too late to deflect or get away. When you think about it like this it's actually quite horrifying. Then there's Nerath and Naegissa just standing (or laying in Nerath's case) puppeting
them the way they see fit, without careing about the ponies they were before, only their own goals.
Now this is an analysis!
@@witherslayer-7315 Thanks, I saw the description and it said you're the artist. I just want to say thank you for making beautiful
art like this. I didn't really mention it in my ramble but this is really great artwork you've done that represents the scene perfectly. Plus I can
always appreciate a piece with deeper meanings if you look hard enough. Hope to see more of your stuff either in other places or right here helping Jyc Row tell stories.😁
Honestly, Wither Slayer is just absolutely AMAZING! =D
@@JycRow Agreed =D
@@stormfire9341 thank you! It's cool when people catch on to the subtle simbolism I put in these pieces of art! I'm just glad y'all enjoy it.
Thank you very much!
Aaaaaaaa WOTLK, this brings me nostalgia ahah, my peak WoW moment years ago xD
Regarding the line "we cry for mercy", it'd be from the point of view of the common Crystallized who praise Nerath to "save their soul" or something in that vibe. In the sense that going under the Nightmares corruption would be a sweet escape, Nerath being a savior or a hero, from the POV of Naegissa (which was already a reference in "Night Queen" from 2018), if that makes sense ^^
@@JycRow oh ok. Thanks for explanation
YESSSS
I love the church/cult sound it has, and sounds like song befitting of a goddess !
(Now I understand why the choir was so scared in that video LOL)
Thank you! =D
I don't remember seeing the choir scared, but we'll all have a closer look quite soon, as a making-of/live video is in the work!
@@JycRow Okay but maybe try and reassure that we are totally not a cult but in fact just music lovers with deep pony backstories lol :D

This song is very haunting yet beautiful at the same time! This was enjoyable to listen to. But I have to admit: Nerath is way bigger than I thought she was! Perks of being a goddess!

Praise Nerath!! May she envelope this world into an eternal crystal darkness!!
Yup!
To answer your question, yes and no - we can consider that those are the Crystallized voices, but they merely are an illusion created by Nerath/Naegissa
Most of the Crystallized - same with the Molten - are just shambling zombies, as you said.
@@JycRow Fascinating! Thank you for answering my questions yet again! :D

Nerath (and Aqasha) is on an absolutely other level compared to anything the livings saw during their short lifespawn. Their power were already huge during the ancient time, 25k years ago, when the original Alicorn tribes were there

Well now we know why Starlight was wearing Trixie's outfit in last ramparts.
I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS BUT OF COURSE I FIND IT WHEN I’M OUT OF THE HOUSE SMH… listening to it asap
Edit:
CHILLS.
Thank you very much for those kind words! =D
So uh- JYC Row.. I don't know if you would answer this... But are the High Priestesses named after someone or something specific?
"Praise Nerath" was epic. I'm glad I stopped putting it off after nearly three weeks! 👏
Amazing and epic as always
Thanks!
So far, my favorite in the whole series
Thank you!
!amazing! I like the orchestral part!💚
Thank you!
I clicked so fast! Woooo it's finally here :D
Gorgeous!
Thanks!
