You are a dude running into the Library of Alexandria while the books are burning rescuing the botany scrolls. Thank you for setting things straight with all the false Blue Lotus out there.

i'm creating a botanical illustration of this plant and this has been tremendously helpful, i've rewatched at least a dozen times! thank you!

I so appreciated the fact you
    connected each photo with each
    measurement! This was
    awesome. I don't know how
    many times I've looked at
    measurement information and
    because they didn't have the
    picture to correspond I wasn't
quite sure if I was measuring the
right place. I think all college
    botanists should watch this. It's
    a perfect 101 class supplement.
    Once again, well done.

Wow! You did such a great job showing all of the plant structure and all. Thank you for dumbing it down and making it N. Caerulea 101!!

Very detailed, excellent, but very underrated which is unfortunate because based on what's on the market, these vendors (& possible botanists) seem to have not deciphered the difference between the them.

So glad you made this video. I grew the real plant and that's the only way I learned to tell the difference but it's great to see it broken down like this. Now if only we could find a source for dried flowers...

I think that the 'real' Nymphaea caerulea has a very subtle beauty that I like. The Egyptians pictured them on everything, so they must've liked them. I know that almost all the so-called 'Blue Lotus' vendors are not caerulea.

there are many beautiful blue water lilies out there but there is only one N. caerulea. I think some may be mutations from the original caerulea.

I work in ecosystem pond building as a rock artisan (former pro geologist) and just ordered your seeds of this. Grown a lot of lily's and lotus over the years and can't wait to try and grow these. I am in zone 6a (BIG YIKES) but I will move these in for the cold months. Eventually I will have a greenhouse pond with this planted. I also plant on building a hoop house over my row of caerulea to help them out in the winter. Can a cold(er) tolerant variety be found? Who knows but I am crazy enough to try it the rest of my life

Oooo that does look intriguing. Pawpaw has morphophysiological dormancy. So... expect a video on that in a couple of years 😅

@@Lorreine.222 I got them from Electric Veg's Etsy shop in the description. I think it was around 15 bucks.
What you got was almost certainly not Nymphaea Caerulea, but grow those suckers out anyway!
