Americans are so clueless about accents it's hilarious. It's like everyone in Europe sounds exactly the same to them. His accent is not British in the slightest, he's not even attempting one. He just sounds like a German guy speaking English.

They definitely alluded to that a lot during the series too which is interesting. When young Noah said "You're the savior" on the last episode of season 2, I finally understood why they made him look the way he did
thank you so much for sharing this interview with us!!! we can only applause to all the hard work that andreas did on the show! i need to notice that his performing choices (like the way he almost copied louis hofmann's mannerisms as jonas??? brilliant acting!) and the character's delievering were pretty much the most talented and nuanced job i've seen on tv. btw i WISH this interview was longer, it's so intersting to hear the actor's analysis of their characters and dynamics. esp when andreas is so fluent in english, lol. no one discuses how intriguingly tragic relationship between the stranger and martha is??? how he'd been waiting more than thirty years to see her again and be able to save her? i would be so intersting to hear what's andreas thinks about his character's journey and motivation... his answers are always so thoughtful and keen! anyway, can't wait to see more in german (fingers crossed for eng subs)!!!

Besides the difference in eyecolor, Louis Hoffman, and Andreas are perfect as younger and older versions of the same person. Both men come across as focused, determined, sensitive, caring and gentle. Handsome too!
How lucky we are that such a great actor looked so perfect for his role. It's like the stars aligned just for this series to bring together this cast. If I could have asked Andreas something I'd love to have asked how younger and older actors worked together on their characters because you can see how actors captured the mannerisms of different ages of their character. Andreas did especially well. Another question would be if his eyes have a bad reaction to contact lenses. Or maybe it's Louis doesn't like them. Because unlike as far as I can see every other character young Jonas has different eye colour to his older self. Eye colour is known to be affected by radiation though, so it may have been intentional, but I'm just wondering, did some actors have a problem with contact lenses?
Yes, THIS!!! He and Louis Hoffman MUST have spent time together talking and working out mannerisms and movements to meld together into one character who IS Jonas! I want to know about how they related and what they said.
