I spent 4 turns on G2 against Battle Sisters because I didn't have any PG's in hand to claw my way to that 1st Place too Also: Decklogs in the description
I also want to mention that with cards like Dual Weapon, you can still do a number of Viktor attacks on the first stride. It opens up the deck to an early aggro game that wasn't as good before. That said, they ARE Shadowstitch abilities, so you have to go in early if you want that to work. Worth noting that Dual Weapon isn't GB locked either though.
Yeah, I'm playing with Dual Weapon in some Izushiotome testing. Makes the deck way less CB heavy, and just cuts down on the need for something like Onibayashi even more
@@tyfyghtrTCG There's a certain combo you can do with the old infinite loop pieces - Dual Weapon, Metamorfox, and Hiden Scroll - and the addition of Fright Sickle, which allows you to make upwards of 20 attacks on first stride. Of course, you can't really pull it off with Shirayuki, since the -10k makes it impossible for Dual Weapon _not_ to hit the vanguard for his skill to proc, and if your opponent is smart, he'll take the one damage rather than let you pull off your wombo combo. Still, Izushiotome is freaking nuts and crazy good; not to mention, she easily has one of the best artwork of all the new strides!
this is gonna backfire horribly but I'm gonna out myself i was that wiki comment, and have long since realized every bit of that argument was flimsy at best, definitely like the card now, think at the moment it was moreso just frustration that immediately on paper it didn't come off as strong as the other strides, but hey being a longtime MK player, its silly I didn't realize that MK has never been solely about strong vanguard skills
Trust me, I get the frustration, I play Novas after all, and Bushi thinks Ethics Extreme is worthy of being a card in the same set as Vowing Reverse, and now Ripples 🙃 Hot takes make for content though, not cooler, "thought about it more" takes, so we stay appreciative 🙏
The new stride is honestly mental. The opening up of the back row without very much restrictions make so many attacks possible. You don’t need resources or pluses, just an arse ton of power and attacks.
Honestly can't wait to physically play with it. It's such a good, generic stride that even some more casual Murakumo builds can do things now *Cough* Weasels *cough*
Im loving this deck right now and honestly the Tanya hidden scroll build is insanely addicting. Being able to just get all my fright sickles out of deck just by striding Izushiotome and using/guarding with a hidden scroll is nice.
So there's actually a couple of decklog links in the description that I was theorycrafting with the new stride. They need some fine tuning/adjustment for play style, but they're testing well so far. Haven't thought about the G Guard much, but it should be pretty easy to just slot in somewhere in there lol
@@tyfyghtrTCG thank you very much! Whish it was that easy ahah every cards looks like a staple in my mind, having much troubles finding slots… i’m considering even removing goumas
Yeah, Onibayashi really isn't the way to go once PremColl drops, cuz you're almost never gonna go into a Shadowstitch or Yasuie stride anymore, unless you're gonna push for game with Genma. Problem is, the amount of decent CC Murakumo has at its disposal is virtually zero, especially compared to other clans. Best you've got after Oni is running either Dart Spider or Drench Serpent, and that requires running even more Stand triggers, which means both less offensive power and less defensive value.
Since Onibayashi is going to be used less after the new stride, to solve the counter charge issue, is Stealth Fiend Dart Spider viable? Its a soul charge and a counter charge.
Potentially, yeah! Especially with the new Stride, I think there's some more options that can make it more viable. Maybe not competitive yet, but definitely better
When you stride, the unit still retains it's original name as well as the name of the stride unit. So when you stride the GB8 on top of Shirayuki and use the ability you can call out 2 more Shirayuki from deck. A couple days late but I hope that helps :)
Murakumo is really good, my teammate took shirayuki and went undefeated in swiss rounds during BSF Springfest, we've been testing for literally months. The new stuff only makes the deck stronger imo.
The new stride makes this deck so much more threatening. An all but guaranteed 6 attacks minimum on first stride while the opp is -10-20k? Insane, honestly
@@tyfyghtrTCG esperaridea, dart spider for resource management for fantasy Yuki, the inclusion of sebreeze so you can call esperaridea when your opponent grade stalls, dual weapon to duplicate your fantasy Yuki/esperaridea.
@@shiki_gg Esperaridea is a little redundant because of Viktor, and it would also mean less or no Nyudo since that's the slot it'd be fighting for, unless you wanna play a super bricky variant of the deck with both in. No Nyudo means less soul too so why bother at that point. Dart Spider is interesting but the deck usually kills before being CB starved anyway and can play a fine game with little or no CB too. The crit pressure is more worth it imo.
Combos and interactions are pretty neat. Just gotta be careful with all the clones, since they can be targeted and there's not much ways to let them vanish (Reverse, Hidotama Handler, Hyakki Zora Asougi can do that) On the bright side, pumping their power to some level of bs while letting them attack from the back and one of his support cards being able to shadow clone mid-battle feels alright

Exactly. And it's why one of the lists I shared, and the one I'm leaning towards the most/working on the most, has way less CB usage

Never realized how similar Onibibu and Kagamijishi's skills were
