All of this and more are the subject of this documentary, in which rare footage, exclusive interviews, contributions from friends, colleagues and other associates, location shoots, news reports, seldom seen photos and a host of other features make for the finest program yet to emerge on Iowa's favorite sons.
How can you really hate on slipknot? I can't imagine. This band is my life. They're more than a band.

I discovered Slipknot sometime in 1999 when I was stationed in South Korea. The video of Spit it Out perked my interest, and when I moved to Ft. Campbell KY I got to see them in Nashville TN. Been a fan since, and now me and my 3 yr old girl listen to Slipknot while we play with Playdoh...

you can't hate slipknot! the band was and is intended as a outlet for your inner hate, anger, and even sadness. slipknot is the epitome of metal. if you've heard the devil in I, Corey clearly sings the words, " I'll show you the rage I've hidden".they are awesome!

This was one of those unauthorized biographies. Meaning Roadrunner and Slipknot had nothing to do with this and could very easily be copyrighted/sued for putting their music in

This is what happens when someone puts out an unauthorized documentary - VERY difficult and expensive to get those rights. They have these for many many big bands like this, and they never have their original songs in them. It’s a good thing though, because it means we can hear from other people from their roots and get added opinions aside from the core members/insiders, meaning we can get a decently unbiased/honest perspective. It’s people monetizing someone else’s success in a way, but it’s also a cool thing for the fans, just depends on how you look at it. But yeah just no way around it.
From NC and I’ve been to Iowa twice and the best part was the ride through the mountains and ended at that badass truck stop. 80 or something like that. There are some beautiful places but I definitely appreciate my home state much more now than ever since traveling there.

I seen them at Ozzie fest 99 Vancouver I was playing in a band at the time we got there c.d I almost quit my band because I never thought that album could ever be topped I was devastated by how great it was I listened to that album for years to this day slipknot has never did an album as great as there self titled top 10 for greatest metal all time albums by my list

Back in like 99, I went to a Slipknot show, in Oklahoma City, Kitty opening. The show oversold the venue capacity, and the show was shut down after Kitty, and we never got to see Slipknot. There was a riot that night at the venue, and tons of cop cars outside, for blocks. Luckily I lived just across the street from the venue so I just walked home. They came back the next year and I was able to catch them on that one.
Watched this twice now and as a band member it’s inspiring every time I watched it

The noises in the interludes where they show the names of the documentary chapters is the intro from Marilyn Manson's `Tourniquet` slightly tweaked and slowed down

But im glad I have, I've really dissected their music and it really touched my heart and opened up some new inspirations

This looks a fun band to be in even if all the songs sound a bit 'samey', a common flaw in the metal genre. A big plus though is the absence of the 20 minute (look at me! look how fast i can play!) guitar-wank.
Douglas Arthur if u follow Corey Taylor u will be amazed at his range. He has amazing talent and can sing any genre of music. Seriously check out his acoustic videos you will see he rarely sounds the same :)

I agree there will never be anorther knot but there could another band of themselves that blow minds the same way slipknot had most of fhe self titled songs since 96 they must of rearrange and reworked them 1000s of times they were playing those songs for 4 or 5 years rewriting them making them better as they we insanely dedicated to there live show coming with more ideas working there songs on the crowd none stop drive new ideas seeing what works and doesn't work for there stage show and putting everything they had into it finding the best players rewriting songs making there music and show more intense and don't forget someone had to pay for this shit it obviously costed a lot money to play those shows way more then they would of got payed so obviously they had jobs it's all possible to do it again if you have drive talent great ideas and your willing to spend the years money dedication to the music the band its not a easy life but if you have that kind of ambition it can happen again are you willing to make the sacrifices it takes I wasn't 😉
