what all is allowed to take in flight with us? is the laptop bag considered as cabin bag, or there is 8 kb cabin bag + laptop bag + a female shoulder purse?

U can take with you anything except sharp objects an absolute no no for it. There is an 8kg bag and then u can have separate bag other than that so it can be a laptop bag document bag or a simple handbag. This will not be weighed .

If you are going in for winter intake, they are worth it ,you can buy it from here but if you are going for summer or fall intake you can get one from Canada itself.

I dont understand why Indians pack masala maggie etc at Walmart you'll get this in 2 CAD and maggie is less than a dollar. Pack things you wouldnt get there like your memories, family photos. This is such a waste of space and if your bag is overweight you'll pay much more. You can always land and eat at airport. Why do these people pack as if they are going to e mission?

Thank you for your question and I am much obliged to answer it .
Firstly , the things that I have packed are according to my needs and interest. If my baggage weight allows me to carry these for emergency purpose I will definitely .
Secondly , these are bare minimum items that I have told that is also incase if the students residence is far off from the grocery store or WALMART as u said and needs time to settle in at the new place . It will be hassle free and much convenient.
The masala and Maggie and stuff packed are merely for a week and also these weigh not more than a kg. Believe me pack all this and make your life peaceful when you reach .
Definately not an e mission but not less than it too.

Yes dear , I bought this for Nova scotia where the temperature hits as low as -20 degrees. And it's perfect for it . It's worth if the temperature remains between -20 to -30 degrees.

I have weighed all the pros and cons of the things that are easily convenient manageable and economical back here in India and ones in canada.
The first few days when you reach , you would have no idea as to where can you get things ,where are the near by stores so it's better to be hassle-free and have the needed items available with you untill you settle in.
And also dear , I have well researched about it and now the ball is in you court if you do not wish to add these items to your cart of travelling to Canada , you may not .

For the voltage differenciation , need to buy a transformer , I will suggest that it's best to buy the same multipurpose appliance in Canada because the transformer is bit pricey.(p.s realised it late.)
