Dr. Felton’s videos on WWII are amazingly enjoyable to watch. I looked up information on Chandra Bose whom he noted in a still of Himmler in this video and I learned something new on the history of India and it’s part in the drama of WWII.
Himmler betrayed Der Fuhrer and the German people " by trying to negotiate a separate peace agreement without Der Fuhrer approval. He was stripped of all his powers and was sought out to be arrested for treason . Eventually he avoided frontline duty by hiding in disguise and committed suicide. 💊⚰

“The breeze less, fetid swamp of the Wolf’s Lair.” Fitting. Though I’m sure some of the inhabitants would have welcomed that stink after their first few days holed up in that tomb of a bunker in Berlin.
From all accounts, the Wolf's Lair was one of the most unpleasant places to live-freeing cold in Winter, hot and humid with mosquitoes in summer. Note that Hitler and his staff never dressed down-always in full uniform in that summer heat.

Made my day tbh.
Oberleitenant Herr Felton
Dr. Felton’s videos on WWII are amazingly enjoyable to watch. I looked up information on Chandra Bose whom he noted in a still of Himmler in this video and I learned something new on the history of India and it’s part in the drama of WWII.
I’m sure the guards were thrilled to be “volunteered” for frontline duty. The ironic thing is the front line eventually found him.
I can imagine how that was announced😂 Himmler: ‘Guys good News i volunteered you all for frontline duty😀, no more boring guard duties’ guards: 😐
@@John-wf2dp Himmler: “Oh Hans I have a surprise for you. You look so bored walking around these woods, in the hot weather, with just female cooks and waitresses for company. I know you really want to do your duty instead”
Guards “No no. It’s ok we don’t mind”
Himmler “So I got you a posting to Stalingrad where all the action is. I hope you enjoy”
Guard 😭
@@notmenotme614 your name fits your comment perfectly 🤣🤣 I pictured the guard mumbling as himmler walks towards him *Not Me Not Me*
@@edwinhernandez9276 maybe he betrayed the furher there, but not the German people. Although it could be said he betrayed them long ago by that point.
With all of Mark's documentaries, I almost default to pressing the like button before I start to watch these days.
Again, a very interesting account of some detailed stuff and history of WW2 and Mark's voice (he is probably 20 years younger than me as I am nearly 64) and the music are very much in keeping with what it is all about.
I used to have to go to the original War Museum in London to see short film clips like this back about the late 1960's so, thanks for showing it online Mark.
“The breeze less, fetid swamp of the Wolf’s Lair.” Fitting. Though I’m sure some of the inhabitants would have welcomed that stink after their first few days holed up in that tomb of a bunker in Berlin.
Definitely sums up the Third Reich
From all accounts, the Wolf's Lair was one of the most unpleasant places to live-freeing cold in Winter, hot and humid with mosquitoes in summer. Note that Hitler and his staff never dressed down-always in full uniform in that summer heat.
Once again another fantastic documentary from Dr Felton, Thank you for the great work you produce time and time again. i look forward to more.
top quality videos dr. mark felton!
suggestion: pls cover kurt knispel the panzer ace
I love these videos! There are so many interesting things about WW2 that I never knew about. Thanks Mark
