    medyo relate ako sa experience nyu po hahah yung nag expect .. may nasalihan ako 10k last year first 10k race ko rin yun .. at naka finish ako 5th male kala ko top 5 ang tatawagin sa stage ! hahahhah .. top 3 lang pala ..pero at least nu . nakakadagdag din ng motivation para mag train pa kasi alam mo na may chance heheh

    53yrs old. last year lang nag simula tumakbo. PB sa 5km is 28m at sa 10km is 58m. Nk half at full marathon narin ako. September may salihan ako 16km run balak ko sana maka top 5 sa age category 50-55. Kayanin ko kaya at anong training para mk 1.30h sa 16km?

      Good day po at salamat sa panonood. Nice po ang ganda ng time nyo for a 53yrs old tapos last year lang nag start. I believed kakayanin nyo po yung 16k since may enough time p a naman to train . 5:36 po pace nyo needed to achieved 1hr 30. your current 10k average pace was 5:50. So tingin ko po doable yung goal nyo sa 16k.
      Tamang training lang po, gawin nyo pong training eh endurance na pang 21k pero speed session nyo na pang 5k event. Sure po ako kaya nyo.
      May iuupload po akong training plan for 16k, medyo advance nga lang po. siguro sa susunod na ibang upload po ma gawan ko yung 1hr 30mins.

    Idol ask lang po. First time ako magffun run(3k run) sa Dec 1. Ano po ba tips ang gagawin like anong ddalhin sa mismong event? Kelan pde magstart ng training run at kakainin before the event. More powers po!

      Yes pwede naman po pareho, Mas matagal lang i-digest ng bahagya yung energy bar dahil mas solid compare sa gels. kaya dapat much better na ichew mabuti para mas faster digestion.

      As of now mula ng binili ko po yung Camel na wind tunnel( May video po ako nun) yun pa din po gamit ko sa daily run at sa long run ko sa preparation sa mga marathon event. Majority din ng teammate ko ay nahikayat na gumamit nun kahit sa 42k marathon nilaro na po nila nung sunday.

      Good day ka ensayo. Salamat po sa panonood. Im 39 yrs old po sa ngayun, 33 yrs old po ng mag start ako sa running. from zero, kahit po papano natyaga ko din po mag improve at tyaka po na kakayanin nyo din po yun.
      Talaga pong it takes time and lots of training para mag improved pero once nakuha nyo na po yung tamang training, tuloy tuloy na po progress nyo☺.

    new follower mo ako boss. first marathon ko sa september, target ko lang sub-4. ilan recommended weekly mileage niyo? at least 3 runs ako per week, interval, tempo, at long run. first half marathon ko nung May 5, at 2hrs 2mins.

      First of all salamat po sa inyo bagong ka ensayo sa channel, Given po sa last half marathon nyo na oras, kung ngayun nyo po gagawin yung full marathon mga around 4hrs 20mins to 30mins nyo po yun makukuha sa ngayun (just a prediction pero sure po ako na dun lalaro time nyo) At tama po na as early as today nag hahanda na kayo sa first 42k nyo. 4months is a good amount of time to train, to be honest kulang po yung 3 days a week na training para sa full marathon dahil sa long distance running needed po talaga natin ng long mileage.
      Pero syempre since yung available na time dun po tayo mag fofocus,
      1st month I will suggest na atleast 10k po ang gawin nyong daily runs zone 2, with long runs around 15k to 21k sa week end.
      2nd month increase po kayo ng 10% (or kung kaya 10k to 13k zone 2) sa daily runs nyo, speed days focus po kayo sa tempo session to build stamina sa fast paces.
      3rd month maintain daily run mileage just like 2nd month, but increase long runs sa week end, atleast umabot po kayo dapat ng 32k to 36k. (not exceeding)
      4th month unti unti ibaba nyo na po yung mileage nyo per week, lalo sa last 2 weeks before the event (tapering na po)
      Alam ko pong limited yung naibigay kong idea, Sana nabigyan ko po kayo ng kahit konting insights pra magawa nyo yung target sub 42k.

      @@dikojay86 thank you sa comprehensive at detailed response. appreciate the effort boss. more power sa channel. nakaka long run na ako ng 25k every sunday. will try 4 or 5 times per week na this June. Minsan kulang sa time dahil sa full time job so nagssplit ako ng morning at night runs. may benefit kaya yun? like ano kayang mas ok, isang zone 2 na 10k sa umaga, or 12k na split pero harder effort (zone 3/4 na 6k umaga with zone 2/3 na 6k ng gabi)?

      @@opopopowpowpopow For me po i will choose slightly hard effort sa morning runs, then easy runs sa evening.
      for sure po kase sa evening ay may epekto na sa conditioning nyo yung work or any physical activities na ginawa nyo sa day time.

    Good day po, baguhan lang po ako. So nagtry ako ng plan yung 2mins run at 1min rest pero yung 2 mins run hingal na po ako at sinsunod ko naman yung breathing techniques na 2steps inhale 2 steps exhale kaso hingal talaga hahaha ano po pwede ko i improve??? Kaya pa naman ng legs ko pero yung lungs hindi😅😅😅

      Ang una po dapat idevelop ay yung aerobic capacity po ng body, Na focus ay to develop yung heart natin. Doing zone 2 running or aerobic also helps sa breathing natin while running dahil connected po sila.

      To become fast, you need first to know the basic. Proper running technique, running form, you also need to know how to run slow to become fast. Yes, because majority of our runs are considered easy pace runs and small portion are long run and speed session. In running it takes time to become fast, consistency in training will always be the key. Please watch some of my uploads regarding running tips, I am sure you will learn from them.       Good evening po, Magandang oras na po yung oras nyo. Kung gusto nyo pa po bumaba yung time nyo, Mag increase po kayo ng mileage sa long runs nyo, add po ng regular na speed session gaya ng interval,tempo at hill repeats para masanay po ang body sa faster paces.

      naku mahirap nga po mag perform kung may iniindang injury, need po i rest yung shin splint. ako po sa ngayun, rest week na para sa ultra sa week ends para din po ma relax na yung mga makikirot na muscles.hehe thank you for watching idol. Bigyan din po natin ng rest days para mag heal.

      Good day ka Ensayo! sakin po, hindi ko po yun na eencounter pa kahit sa mouth at ilong ako humihinga kahit hingal kabayo na.hehe. Sa race po ba lagi kayong nag hahydrate? mas ok po sana every station try natin mag zip ng tubig kahit konti para din di tayo matuyuan ng lalamunan or ng mouth. Ang di ko po ginagawa lalo sa fast pace na race ay yung lumunok ng laway or ng hangin kase dun po ako nabubulunan ( nasisira po yung breathing pattern ko dahil don) Good luck po sa upcoming races.       Good day po at salamat sa panunod, years of practice lang po sa running di naman po ako malakas tumakbo dati, focus on easy pace run to become faster and mix with speed workout na depende sa time na target mo. Sa event naman po, diskarte po talaga sa laro kung pano ka mag kakaroon ng magandang time dApat po wise hindi po puro lakas ang kailangan. Practice pacing lang po para ma achieve mo yung goal mo.
