OMD went to see Kraftwerk when they were at the top of their game, then in the 80s, Kraftwerk returned the favour in seeing the competition they had. As much as I like one or two hits of Kraftwerk, I preferred to see OMD, and I have about 5 times.
Love this excellent Band and really would , I repeat really would love to see them in concert , excellent in all aspects . Love this track MESSAGES . ROB.
One band I have never seen live and are on my "bucket list" along with Carol Decker and Tom Bailey of the Thompson Twins. Love this track, I grew up listening to OMD and all the electronic early bands of the 80's..groundbreaking stuff.
when u got an idea. or are on to something thats about to change it all, this is the song ur listening to this is the alram clock u got, KEEP GOING DO NOT STOP GET OMD!! OR DIE TRYING!!!
Glad that both Andy and Paul are back together for some touring. Saw OMD in 2012 but it was only Paul during that time. Andy brings so much energy on stage and he is always engaging with the fans and audiences. OMD is one of my favorite New Wave synthpop group.
I say this is #2 TOP SONGS OF ALL TIME < THE ATTITUDE OR LACK OF> THE DRUMMER< THE FUCKING AUDACITY TO GO AGAINST EVERYTHING ... METAL FUCKING METOL!!!! I want to see them live, this is the ultimate COLLEGE BAND
Amazing how so many OMD fans cannot abide any criticism. Utterly bizarre. All bands have ups and downs in their career and people will have their own views on albums and singles. Hardly surprising. But anyone who voices anything even slightly critical is shouted down on You Tube. I have been listening to OMD since the early eighties and used to consider them my favourite band in the eighties although I now regard the concept as redundant and pointless. I don't think McCluskey's voice is particularly good live and thought this as far back as the eighties. I remember when a concert in America was broadcast on commercial radio in the UK in 1986 and I taped it. It was thrown away years later but I always thought it was not that good. I have seen them live three times ( once with the Philharmonic Orchestra in Liverpool). Again, I was not that impressed. I still think they have made some really good music over the years but the uncritical devotion of many of their fans is odd.
This song is in my top five best songs of all time! It never, ever, ever gets old!
40 years and still the best.
Forty years seemed unfathomable back then. Yet here we are, and you're right.
So beautiful and strong!!! OMD FOREVER!!!!
First time I heard this in 1980 was the day music changed forever

This is a masterclass on how a band can exist without a guitarist, and get famous. Seriously famous.
well technically mccluskey has a guitar 😅
My number one song ever saw them on my 50th birthday Aylesbury 2021
ONE OF THE BEST SONGS IN THE WORLD, I AM NOT AFFRAID TO SAY I LOVE [ OMD ] .
I like your passion 👍👏
Hi many thanks for your kind words .@@brody5211
Very underrated band don't get the recognition they deserve

Kraftwork are the father of synth
But they are recognised. The more recent concerts are sell outs!
What a fuckin' great band they still are! Unfortunately I've never seen them live, hope to get them here in Buenos Aires one day.

Sore them live indoors and outdoors absolute breathtaking
Still play this a lot, reminds me of so many things, what a superb record.
It's even better live than I thought, love them
Their 1st ever live gig was Glasgow apollo, supporting Numan. 2 blokes and a reel to reel tape recorder.
Still majestical in 2021 what a band live.

He really does sound like a pub singer these days. Wonderful song though.
Harsh bud..
one of those people that thinks higher pitch = better singing
Worst version I've ever heard. I'm a fan of over 30 years by the way
They are 30 years older what do you expect , they sound pretty good to me. Maybe your hearing is gone a bit after 30 years tool
Great band love them ..from Mexico
