This was the era that we loved watching cricket... So crazy that even if the match went on till midnight we would not go to sleep.. i remember wn india used to tour newzealand i used to wake up at 2.30 am to watch test with my cup of tea 😊😊
True! There are so many memories when we enjoyed the winning moments of team India such as India win vs Aus in 2000 ICC knock outs, India win vs Aus in 2001 Kolkata test, India win against Eng in 2002 NatWest series, 2002 Champions trophy win vs SA ...many more!
Now we have cricbuzz, youtube live scores which keep us updated. In 2003 world cup, in Hyderabad, electronic scoreboard was kept in few junctions for India vs Pak, India vs Aus finals. We followed radio transistor through out 2001 Kolkatta, Chennai test. Dream 11 kind of apps screwed cricket experience. Now biggest worry is "Should i make Andre russel as captain or kohli as captain so that i can profit in RCB vs KKR match?"
He was at his best till 2003...not 2001. Agreed his form dipped for 1 yr from 2004-05.. But after his comeback, the way Dada batted Sachin himself was astonished & told Dada that this batting was the best that he had ever seen from him.
@@mhr321arre chtya such expensive bowlers are played for india...irfan pathan...rp singh....sreeshanth ...go and see there odi economy....then bark here
Still remember, South Africans were going blah blah on their new seam bowlers, Nel, Hayward and Ntini and they were hyped for the upcoming tour to Australia. Geoffrey Boycott on the commentary panel in this series predicted that all Aus batsmen will be lining up to bat against them and they will be slaughtered in Australia and it exactly happened that way, Australia won the test series 3-0 and 2 test matches were by innings. Nel and Hayward careers never flourished after that series.
Fond memories of this series actually. Another one of those horror shows in tests, but for the first time our batsmen looked like they could score in South Africa. Good showing in the first ODI as well, but Kirstin's century lost us the match.

Golden era of 🏏 😊
Those were the days, remember watching this one till well past midnight IST.If I am not wrong this was India's first ODI win against SA in SA
Thanks for uploading it was played on 10th October 2001 Wednesday
An overseas win was just like gold dust in those days ..🎉🎉
Shaun Pollock was a real beast from 1996-01 where had a good pace and accuracy both
Kaha se laate ho ya aisey matches nostalgic thanku
Batters were vary of Jonty Rhodes lurking in the Point or Backward of Point all the time :) What a fielder we have seen in the 90s and early 2000s.
Great upload kindly upload Kenya matches also
@04:37 almost forgot that the beautiful servant of Shiva had also played ODIS for India.
The Red coloured logo of Star sports ❤❤❤
Sachin , dravid, souvrav, yuvi, srinanth, kumble
Last series ganguly showed his accuracy in his batting, after the series he lost everything in batting, 1997 to 2001 ganguly ruled odi cricket.
Think again and see his stats for the year 2007... Which is just one year before retirement.
@@BRS51295 2007 good year for Dada but that was 35 years of age, 1999 ganguly 27 age.

Absolutely right.
I think captaincy Is responsible
Agarkar was an underrated odi fast bowler for us .
He had not done proper justice to his all round ability. Had he been more consistent things could have different for Agarkar.

In this series saurav gangula almost destroyed south african bowlers...he was just brilliant in this series..
Thanks 🙏 sir please upload more videos
Fielding at 8:04 exceptional Johnty Rhodes. Even the best couldn't get past him.
The rate at which Neil McKenzie was going .. looked like he wud single handedly win the match for sa
Such was the depth in SA batting that after 7 down, the batsmen were Boucher and Klusener who averaged 41.
Here we can see the classic art of cricket all over the ground
India was expecting to win first odi were they scored 275 still lost 😢
Sachin and Ganguly scored 100s
Ganguly 239 and 141 vs pakistan 🇵🇰 ♥ 😍 😀
Sourav ❤❤
Those days defeating SA was like landing on the dark side of the Moon😅
Wow india won wit new legs in sa soil
Wen I was in soudamini soudam vijaywada long-term coaching
Sehwag coming 5 down 🤔🫡🧐stance similar to tendulkar 😮
this was his early days. he made his odi debut 2 years before the series but hadnt played for india in odis for nearly 18 months
Not just stance, I used to have a very hard time distinguishing sehwag from Sachin as both used to look like twins when batting together 😂😂
Catch of Ganguly by Kallis, ball was touching the ground...

Facing SA was relatively harder than Aussies that time.
South Africa was stopping every thing on the field
Ganguly Sandhu lo mirchi masala 🌶️🌶️vedekki unnadi vennela bala
I wonder what Surya could have done with this kind of bowling
George W. Bush umpiring 😂😂😂
