    Its important to note, that this is actually not a dance, contrary to its elegant movements. Its actually a form of meditation, that they reach a sense of mental and spiritual bliss in the movement, and is not intentionally meant to be a form of entertainment.

      It wasnt meant as entertainment but this imitation of the original practice is just that 😉

      His spiritual teacher was Shams-i-Tabrizi. Shams could not read nor write but was told at an early age he would meet someone who would be a voice for him which turned out to be Rumi the poet and teacherof others. Sham's memorial site in Iran. Both were originally from Persia. Many ideas were attributed by Rumi to be his teacher's.

      Ray correa self-induction into a state of trance is nothing new. It has been practised all over the world for thousands and thousands of years. This is the reason why the use of recreational drugs are so popular today. Problem is, they are very addictive and therefore harmful. People must be educational to understand the perils of any addictions and their harmful fallout. That said, addiction have nothing to do with sinning, and punishment and religion. The addict needs medical help and not priests, etc.

    • @hamrunizspar1
      @hamrunizspar1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Truthfears Guilty. Yes, so I've heard. Is there anything that Islam allows? Strange that the main thing that Allah created - have a guess what! - is largely forbidden by Islam. I find this quite strange. Although it explains why Islam is big on Satan. Satan is a necessary scapegoat because blaming Allah would be unacceptbale. Also, using Allah's gift our brain - this too is forbidden and asking too many of the wrong questions(that challenge Allah), Allah will get very angry and punish. This is what he does to people who do not use their brains as he intended them to.

      Allah made sex pleasureable for an obvious purpose. People like pleasure which can become very addictive. This god's creation when abused can lead to serious addiction. But addiction is an illness that needs psychiatric treatment not punishment. Also, when something god created is forbidden - in oher words, it is natural - being guilty about it and going against our natural instinct to celebrate life through music and dance and being careful with it........depriving ourselves of all this, our innocent natural instinct; this leads to sexual neurosis and that is a very serious condition. The psychoanalysts Freud and Jung had a lot to say about it. Here is a taster. Not for the faint-hearted either.
      www.vision.org/visionmedia/biography-sigmund-freud/597.aspx

    • @hamrunizspar1
      @hamrunizspar1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Quite! Not appreciating god's plan for humanity(and it can be appreciated but with intelligence and wisdom so that the plan does not harm us)brings its own problems. As I said, neurosis and worse. The beauty of freedom of physical expression is that, when exposed to it as a matter of course, a decent person does not sexualise the imagery. On the other hand, when something is forbidden totally and is taboo, things become over sexualised to the person who practices the taboo. It's all about familiarity and being sophisticated about it. A person who is never exposed to anything is frightened of everything and misinterprets everything. Of course there are many people who abuse the freedom and they suffer and make others suffer. But people who repress their natural god-given feelings suffer too. Neurosis, domestic violence. Human Nature cannot be comfortably sealed in a box so that it troubles no one. Of course it's a big subject and you don't have to accept any of it. After all it's a free world. Isn't it?!

    • @hamrunizspar1
      @hamrunizspar1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a free world in the sense that a person can be free provided s/he takes care of his physical and mental health. Tough because humans are not a perfect species and life (human consciousness)is a difficult burden to bear. This is the reason why religion/s were invented. I myself am an atheist. I am grateful for the life my parents gave me and I am humble enough to know that when I die, I die. Like I have never existed. There is no purpose to life(why should there be - believing otherwise is all part of human arrogance)Our aim should be to preserve life through knowledge and creativity. Believing in fairy tales is neither wise nor creative. That is how I experience the whole thing. Life is difficult is the first thing one is told in psychotherapy. And when people get depressed or otherwise distressed, what they need is modern healing methods not mumbo-jumbo.

    The first chanting is the opening sura or chapter (Fatiha) of the Qur’an. When Mevlevi Sufis whirl to the left with right palm up and left palm down, they create a vortex between the earth and the heavens, and there they meditate, often for hours. Rumi started the Mevlevi order of Sufis, chanting as he whirled, and scribes wrote down what he said.

      @petermartin7885 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure what you're talking about. Maybe you're saying everything rises in the East and sets in the West, which is true. Celestial bodies aren't just bodies in the the solar system. Bodies in the solar system orbit the same direction around the Sun because that's the way the direction that "won" for the angular momentum of our solar system, and is different for other solar systems. If you're talking about rotation, this is also not true and is evident with Venus's "backwards" rotation caused by the effects of its incredibly dense atmosphere.
      Electrons don't "rotate" around the atomic nucleus. That's a very classical description of an electron. An electron's behavior is described as a probability density around the nucleus of all the possible places it could be. There's no definite direction of rotation.

      @@Sayyeda.Zaynab.kamoonpury786 Yes. What direction does the Sun, moon, stars, etc. rise in and what direction do they set? I'm not quite sure what word you're trying to use, revolve or rotate. All planets do not rotate on their own axises in the same direction, google Venus' rotation. They do revolve around the sun the the same direction but that's nothing significant. Solar systems and galaxies (which would also be considered a celestial body) rotational directions are arbitrary and you'll find both in relatively equal numbers.

    Sufism, the mystical branch of Islam, emphasizes universal love, peace,
    acceptance of various spiritual paths and a mystical union with the
    divine. It is associated with the dancing of whirling dervishes, who
    originated in the 13th century as followers of the poet and Muslim
    mystic, Rumi. Their dance is a traditional form of Sufi worship, a
    continuous twirling with one hand pointed upward reaching for the divine
    and the other hand pointed toward the ground. Manjula Kumar, a program
    manager at the Smithsonian Institution, explains how the dancing of
    these whirling dervishes from Turkey serves as “a spiritual offering.”
    They were part of a Smithsonian symposium on the concept of Sufism and
    searching for the divine through the arts.

    The spinning serves the same purpose as the sacred drugs, it puts you into a different space, one unfamiliar and disorienting, separating us from our own power and placing us in the realm of another. Clearing the mind of all but one thought, "Ya Allah (Oh God), I seek thee!" makes the connection, allows us the hear words not spoken by any man. The drumming makes the rhythm and blocks out all distractions. In that spinning circle, there is but you and God. Wonderful idea.

      Muslim: how believed in God with out any compares to him and all of his prophet that he send them to the humanity and he have to go Maka one time in his life at least if he could to and he have to fast 1 month each year which is Ramadan
      And finally to pray 5 time each day to the End of your life each pray take from you 3-5 minute almost about 20 minute in a day
      These is the Muslim when he do these 5 stuff he is Muslim
      The second level is Momen :
      The Momen they are few in the Muslims todays from each 1000 Muslim you can found 5-10
      Those they understand God his definition and how can they continues walking to him and they start with helping people with any think they wonted ...
      finally the place of charity (sufism) :
      Is to pray to god like hi is in front of you, you start to fight your desire to go as much as you can to get the love of God
      When you arrive to these place the person will be in full connection with God he doesn’t do any think with out praise to god when they open there hand to ask God any think always immediately God he do what he say
      For each one of the 3 level attributes
      For example : God tell us in koran
      That he is pushing people by people
      That mean when a person make a sins like stealing, God he should make a trouble to him so he don’t be punished in hell
      So he make a system to make people push the trouble from each others by giving him time until he do something delete his sense
      The muslim : protect 100 from his Neighbors
      Momen : 1000
      Sufism :127,000
      Even sufism have level by how is better than the other in doing Good stuff to people just to have the love of God
      These is some explaining about sufism
      You can’t arrive to it with out having a religion because it have to get a reference other wise what you do is getting back to you in your life.

      Sorry i make a mistake, i’m also a week Muslim almost of the people today they are week muslim that mean we are not even a Muslim
      But as i know i tell you to know more about sufism you have to talk to Imam (muslim sufism leader) he can explain it to you more better than me
      I think the Momen he can be Sufism
      But in Sufism there is level come after it inside it those level not any body he could do it because it really hard like you have to say Glory to God 10000 time in a day then after you access it it change to for example 60,000 time the word “there is no God except God”
      Because when you do that your trying to leave your desire and fight your self to the love of God
      That make you a real human for God
      How is more better than Engle because you fight your desire to God
      When the Engle doesn’t have desire.
      This is a small example of sufism
      but the main point in sufism is the place of charity

      There isn't in this "show" but there are many cases in Sufi Orders around the world where women are Whirling in the ceremony

      This is Not worship to Jehova God this is worship to Alla the false God of the koran. The only way to be saved is through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ and his death burial and resurrection as payment for our sins. th-cam.com/video/TCSUKIhjevo/w-d-xo.html
