@@thehurricane218 I thought of this alot and think the opposite.
You associate anger with negativity, I dont. I associate rage, malice, and hatred with negativity. If something threatens what I love it makes me angry and aggressive. If that anger and aggression propels me to defend the things I love in a just way then it's a positive. Rage, hate, and malice are negatives because a person is no longer protecting their own but selfishly pursuing what they despise.
That's the classic comic book definition of a hero and a villian. A hero fights to protect what he loves and a villain fights for selfish gain or to destroy what he hates. 😅Missy goes to church with us in Bemidji. I'm retired from Red Lake forestry/fire, our office was across the street from Red Lake high school.
Kids were running into our building and hiding. One of the boys killed in that classroom was son of one of our fire crew . Another boy was in that classroom and attacked the shooter with a pencil ...he was also shot...but survived.
The memory is vivid and hurts badly, but it can't be but a tiny fraction of what many families feel . Please pray for God to do His work on the reservation
and give them solace and His peace.

Especially when they are complaining about school or about life, I always make sure everything is okay with them. Instead of talking to the student she brushed him off because she didn't want to deal with him. Then she blaimed others for not seeing the signs. What??

It's interesting to see the ppl who put in the time to do the research and speak with survivors, family of shooters, and those who were planning to commit a mass shooting who had second thoughts. It's deeper than just hate for others but their lives are lacking emotional support and it's a cry for help when there aren't programs around to help kids like this who are in danger of becoming the next shooter. They need to have more access to counseling at the schools and at the first report of a write up of a student that student and their parents should have to attend counseling to get to the root of that child's problems. I hope one day that teacher regains what she lost that day in her classroom. If I were her i'd also be scared shitless to go back to school and teach.

Deadly weapons should not be available to the public. That is the issue. Bc there is always a percentage that will be homicidal. And the USA makes sure there is a gun to produce mass murder for these people. Try doing this in Japan. See how easy it is to pull off. DUIS are more punished, have had adjusted legislation, and cars are more controlled than guns.
Furthermore, no one gets into a car drunk to kill someone. These people intended to murder because of various reasons.
People risking other people’s lives by driving drunk is an incredibly selfish choice based in addiction/disease.
And also there are variations of what is “drunk”. Less so with shooting someone in the face.

      2. A suggestion by naive people that don't think before they act who see "MASS SHOOTING" and immediately think "TAKE AWAY GUN" when history says otherwise and aren't familiar with the consequences of what will happen when they take away firearms from the general public.
      3. An act of tyranny by the government used to disarm their own people, leaving them defenseless when the government tries to take away the people's rights and personal freedom while establishing an infamous 1984-style dictatorship.
Out of these 3, what seems more accurate to reality?

Regulate and progressively add more restrictions and laws pertaining to owning guns. Little by little, make them only eligible for use on grounds that allow it.
Yes, violence and gun violence in the states is going to be a factor regardless of whether or not laws on them are bottlenecked, but they will decrease significantly if something actually happens about it. Drop your pro-gun ego for the sake of human lives, (and in this case children's) and focus it on making a safer environment. The US is a first world country, yet it's cheaper and more accessible to obtain guns to shoot up a school, than it is to redirect people to forms of mental health care, and medications. That and teaching children how to use kevlar to defend themselves from bullets, and wielding teachers with firearms themselves, all because none of this is important enough in the big picture. Any school that does not have a metal detector to detect firearms shall be liable for negligence to protect the safety of children. This needs to stop. We need metal detectors at the entrance of every and any closed facility open to the public. Failure to protect while encouraging mass congregation is risk posed by the business or agency who shall be held legally responsible.

@@kdash3215 again, they're not responsible adults. And if you cant trust people with a butter knife than you and who you know have more problems than trying to debate guns /gun laws. You need to be debating mental health not guns. But if they were responsible adults then could be trusted with a butter knife or a machete. I own a few machetes and butter knives, still I have never hurt/stabbed /sliced anyone. Crazy how a responsible adult can handle tools/equipment.

This video shows us people who will do anything they can to protect students except to take personal responsibility for their safety. They'll write reports, try to ban the tools used etc. but they refuse to take physical action themselves. They want OTHER people with guns to use force. If they were legitimately sincere about protecting students, they would put themselves in harm's way and use their own guns to stop the school shooters. These teachers are so disconnected from reality that the thought of actually having to use violence to stop violence is unthinkable for them.
It's ridiculous to watch these people dance around the obvious solution because of their fears. They'd go to the ends of the universe in search of a DIFFERENT solution before they would simply go seek training with guns and then carry one to protect their students. The bottom line is, when the student is pressing a trigger and taking lives, only taking his or her life as quickly as possible, will save lives.
"Violence is rarely the solution, but when it is, it's the ONLY solution".
