So rather than scolding just hit them lightly so they will fall or have a slight damage in the vehicle that will make them realise much longer. As you wont be legally punished. You are doing great. Bro many times I use to hit them but unfortunately my front fork got damage and it burnt my money, so I'm not doing it after that incident, if we scold they forget like you said but now if they started seeing their mistakes they feel ashamed and will stop doing it
