FOREIGNERS helping TAAL VOLCANO Evacuees in the Philippines

- Here is a little update on the Taal Volcano Eruption: things are getting better but a lot of people of the Taal Volcano evacuation area need help and are dependent on donations.
We headed out with our friend Janina to drop off a few donations for the Taal Volcano affected ones at the Don Bosco School in Makati 🙏🏼
Most needed items at the moment are:
➡️face masks
➡️water
➡️personal hygiene products (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, sanitary, napkins, diapers)
➡️canned goods and packed food (bisquits,
➡️IMPORTANT: blankets, towels and sleeping mats

It seems like life is back to normal, at least here in Manila. Unfortunately Taal Volcano is still active and a lot of evacuees are dependent on our help. Nelly and I are getting daily updates from Volunteers and something that is urgently needed are sleeping mats and other things (see description box). Please spread the world so we can help those who need our help the most TOGETHER 🙏🏼
PS: On another positive note: we loved seeing how Taal Volcano affected keep sharing good vibes and it although it's a difficult time, Filipinos tend to always make the best of it 🙏🏼

Mike and Nelly, when Filipinos help other Filipinos in need, we call that Bayanihan. Bayan means nation and Bayanihan means the whole nation comes as one to help each other. You should do atiatihan (mother of all Philippine festivals) this week then dinagyang the week after. You'll only have to book a flight to Kalibo then ride bus/van to Iloilo.
Atiatihan happens at the same time as sinulog which overshadows the former.
not a good idea especially with the transport and everything. they might get stuck in kalibo if NAIA shuts down.
Not really a problem since they're already planning to leave manila anyway.

My point is, they we're already planning to leave Manila and I'm just merely suggesting where they can go. They're old enough. They can manage if ever NAIA shuts down or not.

I would think plain sleeping cushions are easiest to carry around and set up (?). I'm sure someone will appreciate the air mattress but it does require a power outlet and hope it doesnt puncture right away.
