Absolutely love the new wagon. That's a really good looking vehicle, and I think it's absolutely worth saving. I actually like it better than the other one. They are both nice, but I like the color combo on this one more.

Gorgeous wagon, definitely fix her. But DO NOT connect a battery before repairing the damaged wires. ATM it's probably recoverable but connecting a battery could cause further irreversible damage and possibly a 🔥 fire! If the damaged area are short sections it shouldn't be too difficult to splice in some new wire, but failing that possibly a replacement harness. Most definitely worth saving Mikey. It's not often someone gets lucky twice but somehow you did it. Lost your mind? You have a yard full of Mercedes so that is up to individual interpretation. I see it as being like Scrooge McDuck sitting on a pile of money as he did in the comic books. Under the hood looked as bad as I thought it would. As others have mentioned, a wiring harness replacement may be the best way out for the wiring. Fascinating video. Thank you for bringing us along on yet another automotive adventure.

I cleaned out an old scout with an engine compartment full to top from ground up. Rodent pee had rusted parts completely away. They didn’t drag something alive in there they found the bone in a field and brought it back to chew on. Good source of calcium that’s why you never find dead big foots all the critters take the bones to chew on ;)

I usually make peace with wasps, but if they're in a place they will continue to pose a threat (like your car) what I do is setup a shop vac where they're coming out from and let it run during daylight houses till they're all sucked up. Works well. Make sure you have soapy water in the bottom of your vac.

i think just keep going for now. Interior looks really good, the paint from a distance is also okay. The wires, you have a start and point so that's an easy fix. the ducks and Lola say go for it.

She is in better shape then the last one.. Her paint seems real good. Her interior seems complete and not all torn up... I'm willing to bet, even with the chewed wires. A little fixing and given her a complete tune she will start without a issue.. I would sell the other, and use the cash to fund the the fixing of this one, who is in much, much, much better shape.

well I'm not sure if you lost your mind, but having TWO E320 estates is probably a good start! seriously, you may be the only guy who has two of those. (translation: I'm sooooo envious) looks worth saving if not mechanically toast. it cleaned up really nice and the interior looks to be in very good shape. main concern is probably the wiring, even when not pre-chewed the '92-'95 Es famously have that biodegradable insulation. hope you can save her

Mike what I've done in the past, when a neighbors kid put a new battery in backwards, and burned all the interior, and under hood wires, was go to the wrecking yard ,and remove the harnesses (as much as I could get ) and use them, or pieces of them to replace as needed.
man I just realized how good that wagon looks after the clean up. The wasps also gave me a ptsd back when I bought my s203 wagon! I had a whole nest in the gas cap!

Looks like a keeper. Besides a few electrical cables or harnesses, fuel pump, filter AND FUEL FITTING at inlet of fuel rail are a must replace
