    Great information, I had to do just that and found my problem, and the fuses and relays are tight now, great connection with all my grounds. This is one of the .best videos well done. I'm a 2008 Z06 V. Yellow here in Florida.

    I'm going to try this, I have an 05 Vette witch is the first and WORST of the C6's. Chevy did not fix all the bugs in the C6's until the later years 09-13.

    I currently have a issue with my corvette I went to a dyno session and on the third pull I blew the valve cover seal and we fixed that right after, but after that my transmission stayed in 4th gear no up shifting or down shifting is this considered limp mode on the transmission?

      Auto? Valve cover seal? Maybe a bad crank ventilation system

      Uh. On the Auto? Out of my scope there. On a manual uhh maybe the shifting linkage? What happened directly before that started happening.

    How did you take out the 4 bolts I’m struggling on that

    • @z06baron6
      @z06baron6  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I made the wooden piece to allow the panel to be supported, then I used a socket and hammer to gently tap them out

      @@z06baron6 oh so I have to tap them out? They just keep spinning on me.

      @@z06baron6 so you put the bolt over the hole in the wood and tapped it out with a hammer?

    • @z06baron6
      @z06baron6  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CaliUnlimited Yes so the plate has something to rest on and the bolt and fall into the hole, I believe I screwed on a small nut on the threads so when I was hammering I wouldn't damage the threads, then I used a socket to hammer the nut and bolt out, took off the nut, then used a screw driver to tap it all the way out, have to be creative and careful

    on my c6 the throttle body wire in the fuse box melted the pin inside.

    It could be the gas pedal causing limp mode too

    • @z06baron6
      @z06baron6  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting, I have not seen a code from the TPS or whatever GM does. Do you know what code it throws if it is the pedal?

      2 weeks later I can’t get those fucking bolts out lol

    • @z06baron6
      @z06baron6  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@clayyng You must have the plate resting on the wood and the bolts over the holes drilled in the wood so they can come out. I screwed on a small nut on the threads of the bolts so when I was hammering I wouldn't damage the threads (I was hitting on the nut I had screwed on), then I used a socket to hammer the nut and bolt out, took off the nut, then used a long screw driver to tap it all the way out, have to be creative and careful. When you put them back in they will not fit, you have to grind down the mushroomed out portion so they slide in ok.

    • @clayyng
      @clayyng ปีที่แล้ว

      @@z06baron6 earlier this year one of the side main cap bolts came loose and made me lose oil on the highway and I thing it starved the motor of oil and hurt the bearings. My oil pressure recently started to decline about 10psi warmed up from what it used to be and I was just cruising it into town for the one year anniversary of buying the car and literally one turn from where i was going it spun and started rod knocking. I was sitting at the light when it started lol.

    I actually have a problem with my Corvette right now for some reason my car everything inside turns off and then turns back on but the car does not shut down even my radio turns off and it gives me the error code to service fuel pump and says low fuel if anybody could help me please I even took the car to the dealership and they said that it was some dirty connectors they cleaned it and the problem went away but after a couple of months the problem came back

    • @z06baron6
      @z06baron6  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Electrical for sure, I had the exact same thing happen, turns out it was a loose battery connection and the fuse box needed to be tighter. Make sure battery is healthy too

      @@z06baron6 I changed the battery a year ago I think for me is to BCM

    • @z06baron6
      @z06baron6  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JoseMedina-hs9st It is not the BCM. Does the car have anything aftermarket on it? I have seen your issue caused by a loose battery terminal, I have seen it caused by a break in the fuse box, a loose wire. If it only randomly does it its not the BCM or ECU. C5 had the BCM issues not really the C6. Go through your grounds, do what I do in this video and I think it will fix it.

    • @JoseMedina-hs9st
      @JoseMedina-hs9st ปีที่แล้ว

      @@z06baron6 no and another thing my windows will not roll up or down when the problem is happening and my doors will not open or the only reason why I say is the BCM cuz I have a similar problem with a 2001 Firebird and what causes the problem is the BCM on those cars

    • @z06baron6
      @z06baron6  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JoseMedina-hs9st Ok, what year and model of corvette?? if its not a 2005-2013 the others have a very different electrical system, I can't help with that. If it is a C6:Take the negative terminal off your battery. Put it back on and tighten. Turn it on. Is the problem still there? Make 100% sure your battery is very snug on both connection. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: does your car have ANYTHING done to it? Headers? New starter? Replaced fuel pump?
