I have around 7 stops in my entire area however I've seen 3 postboxes that are also stops just outside my area. It's a real struggle just to get all daily tasks done. Other areas are swamped by stops and gyms.
Thanks for the info. Half of my neighborhood is littered with pokestops while the other (which has good examples of what could be a pokestop) is severely lacking. I'm gunna try to fill out the neighborhood so we're not forced to go on the same route every time we decide to play.

The Little Library is a way to sometimes get around the private residential rule if you zoom in tightly on the photo. And thank god it is, b/c my neighbor's little library (very much on their lawn, albeit on the edge) is the one and only pokestop I can reach from my house!
I'll be honest, the village I live in handled it quite interesting. The row-club failed to get their property nominated, but a statue near it is both a gym and a normal stop. The elementary school has the library and a statue on its grounds are both pokéstops. The harbour has 3 pokéstops within a few meters of each other. One supermarket has 4 stops within each other's spinning distances. Simply put the village is utterly crowded for how small it is, then there's a 5 mile radius of nothing.
I have like 5 more restaurants approved. All of them are teahouses, bakeries, and "good-looking" restaurants (nice-looking exterior or sign). Lots of supporting info.

When I first started playing, my city has few or no stops or gyms. But I still opened the app to encounter mons and after a week or two I saw jew stops with no description or photo.
