    *This replaced a smaller Keurig that I owned for 6 years **MyBest.Kitchen** I wanted the convenience of the water receptacle and while this unit is much larger than the previous one, I'm very happy with my purchase. The only downside to this larger model is having to move it from under the cabinets to place the pod and refill it. I was able to rectify this by purchasing glide mats for small appliances. Now, it's perfect!*

      +Kevin Jenkins thanks Kevin, i had a few questions myself so i thought i would throw them in there as i was rambling..
      i did however dilute it a little too much! so just make sure you read the instructions on the dilution rate. :)

      really should descale it though, just ensure it is a lactic acid or citric acid etc, it has to be safe for use with aluminium coffee machines

      thanks Kryan,
      i mentioned it in the description, i'm sure you noticed i said and did the incorrect ratio of water/cleaner. so just make sure you mix it correctly. i always run a few extra 'rises' through mine just incase, one time the milk curdled first time i used it after cleaning and i think it was due to some of the lactic acid cleaner still being in the system. one or two extra rinses and it was perfect again, never an issue.

    I've got food grade citric acid. usually works wonders with my distiller and kettle. I live in hard water area. my machine is due a clean.
    should be OK to clean with Citric acid also if anyone has any experience how many parts of CA to water did you use?

    Just a heads up but you did it wrong. You were meant to use 500ml + the cleaning solution. After finishing, you then fill it to max and press the button the 2nd time to rinse.
    Since you filled it to max on the initial clean, it stopped early with some solution still left. When you hit the button the 2nd time (rinse), it uses 500ml on the water nozzle end, and 500ml cleaning the main end. Yours only did one end before it ran out of water and shut off preemptively.

    Great video, one thing though, I am pretty sure the ratio for the de-scaling solution is 1/5 100ml of descale solution for 500ml of water, you could be using a slightly diluted mix and not adequately descaling your machine, would be worth a check. Cheers :)

    I followed this exactly as instructed .. twice. The video shows about 1 inch of acid and the rest clean water. After the acid treatment I filled the tank with clear water and repeated twice. But my descaling light still come on. Have I descaled? Or is there still a problem?

    • @ThatCarChannelOfficial
      @ThatCarChannelOfficial  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mirko,
      That seems very odd! Is your machine the same as pictured? Possibly try turning it off and on after a good 10mins (allow the heating element to cool down) also make sure it’s not dry (be sure it has water/cleaner in the tank and there is nothing stopping the water flow, there is a little filter at the bottom)
