I got super nervous when they showed up all those trailers, i was screaming like crazy im hyped to watch all the stories i didnt and i think the gameplay style is awesome!!!!
Small correction, this kind of JRPG UI and the presence of break gauges goes way back. Earliest games I've seen this layout in are from 2010, so it's not exactly a copycat, more of an industry standard. Definitely not invented by Star Rail, though I guess that's probably the most popular game to use that UI setup.
Even with all of this in mind, I still find it very hard to ignore how this looks way too similar to star rail in UI. Like we got everything from the camera angles, to basic attack and skill icon placement, and (what I assume) is Skill points with the number 4 (Even goes up to a cap of 5) down to even the way the red glow is used when highlighting enemies (Though I'm sure this is a more common method of highlighting selected enemies, it still shows how alot of the UI elements is borrowed from HSR) Anyways I should say that I don't hate on this game, it's just hard to ignore that it's very HSR like with it's UI

i think elements will be more important here than in star rail due to the fact you get 5 characters instead of 4, meaning that the developers should balance it by making the break bar tankier, otherwise it would be too easy...and on that note i think there will be a new 7th element for the same reason, to add more team variety
I'm guessing that some of the combat systems might be similar to atelier Sophie 1 and atelier sophie 2, which have a system for attacking elemental armor to break
Thanks for the update! I have to wonder if the transfer codes will be region locked, or if they'll also work for those of us who are not in Japan. It'll also be interesting to see if the content that gets uploaded to the Magia Exedra TH-cam is translated or not.
what i wanna know is what the online coop is going to look like. if you could join a group fight witches similar to weekly bosses in genshin where you can run around that would be cool but who knows there's little info about it rn
This game is gonna be so much fun to play!! Man, I love that they added the other Madoka spinoffs, and Magia Record when they mentioned it. Still a shame that Magia Record is shutting down, but hey, Madoka Exedra looks like so much fun!
Man I hope they don’t adopt Hoyos lack of endgame and endless boring yapping and the P2W mechanics. Also the amount of characters HSR releases a month is RUTHLESS. I loved that in Magia Record they gave you so many things for free, units could be ascended to levels of natural 5*, choose your own Memoria banners, choose your own 5*, etc.
HSR probably one of the lesser P2W gacha out there 💀, and they only release like 2 new 5 star maximum per month (you can almost guaranteed to get one if you clear all content). Magia record is definitely more pay to win coz dupe matters a lot to unlock memoria slot

its hard to say; It will depend on how the story for this game will be laid out and if it tries to explain the world of Madoka to newcomers or if it will assume that people are already aware of the setting
Yea, I was thinking about that too, I mean the region lock. Like, aniplex, could you define "global" to us? Like Hungary is literally the center of Europe, now how come that it isn't in the global list? I know, Hungary is pretty much a stereotypical shounen anime addict, which means they never watched Mahou Shoujo animes, but still it would be so much more comfortable without struggling with a different steam account. Also Magia Record after some time stopped working on different vpn's. Like, I had an account on some part of America, but after some time I couldn't use it. Also wouldn't it be more beneficial to allow more players and fans to play the game? Magia Record's downfall was also somewhere because of the low player base. This is why I can't understand aniplex, why do they cut the tree beneath themselves since the very beginning?
@@kyokosakura3192 PvP generally brings acceleted power creep in order to change the meta (which 99% of the time still becomes speed tuning). But will have to see how they handle dupes, monetization on content cycle. As well as how bad the rng gear is, I'm expecting horrid like hoyoverse games but hopeful they do similar to Outerplane or Artery Gear.

I love that the gameplay is basically Honkai Star Rail from what we can see, however am I the only one feeling like the graphics are too vibrant? It doesn't feel "Madoka Magica" in a way Still hyped for it though, hope we have genuine free roam like HSR, would be such a waste otherwise
like wuthering waves copies genshin but yeah can soften the blow by calling "inspired" but they will never be able to copy hsr overworld (i hope i wrong, i hate atelier resleiana since you cant roam overworld, its dumb)
I hope they change like, some of the combat. They literally have the same white health thingy that you need to break to give more damage. I hope the game have different combat mechanism instead of just being straight copy. Like even Wuwa have different combat from genshin

They can add connects and doppels. This type of gameplay won't be an issue. Its just a turn base after all.
