和楽器バンドの事は去年知った。今までありそうで無かった存在。すぐに惚れた。調べたらみんな凄い人達だと知った。もっと活躍して欲しいし、沢山の人達に知って欲しい。

なんだか嬉しいんだよ。
日本の楽器が現代に生きているってカンジが。
日本の伝統楽器ときたら、なんだか格式高くて、生真面目なカンジがあるでしょ。
美しいとかさ。。そんなんじゃなくて、こうやって若い連中がライブで盛り上がる空間で、その伝統楽器が鳴っているってことが、俺は、凄くステキだなって思うんだ。
俺、尺八や、インドネシアや沖縄の女性の手のダンスや、ケルト音楽や、フォルクローレのケーナとか、民族音楽に興味ある。
もちろん、日本の民族音楽にもね。
そして、それを１００％再生するんじゃなくて、何か、新しいテイストを入れてやりたいって思っている。そういう中で、、
この、和楽器バンドはそれを既に実現してくれているんだ。
いろんな評価がありそうだけれど、
人の言葉なんて俺には関係ない。
俺がいいと思えば、それでいいんだから。
少なくとも、
音楽は己が好きというものを、
追求しないと、まったく意味が無い。
聞く側のオリジナル感性というものだ。
このバンドに興味を持っている人たちも、
俺はそういう意味で大好きだ。
きっと、保守的な人は一人もいないだろう。
私も世界中に伝統的な和楽器
の素晴らしい音色を広げてくれている
このbandに敬意を評します。

They are an epitome of Japan arts and spirit. Even the performers, especially Yuko and Beni represent the beauty of Japanese female phenotype. They are gorgeous.
歌以外にも楽器できちゃうとか何なの？凄いよ！上手いし引き込まれていっていつの間にかファンになってるし🙌
BD盤買ったけど凄く良かった。ボカロ三昧からの曲はもとより、詩吟や純粋なハードロックも入っていて、飽きさせない一枚。ライブなのにサウンドの再現性、特にゆこりんとまっちーのボーカルの凄さは半端ない。週末に６周ぐらい視聴してしまったｗ

I'm still a little new with yuko suzuhana and the wagakki band but I became a fan after watching them and I can't stop listening to their songs on my iPod. I really wish they could get their big break and have more Japanese fans so they can have a bigger concert hall, and that way they can stay together a lot longer as a band, because they are such a unique group incorporating traditional Japanese music with modern day visual kei style music.

This band reminds me of Jethro Tull. It's not just the mixing of traditional folk music with hard rock, nor just the flute. To me, Wagakii's lead guitarist sounds a bit like Martin Barre. But that's just to my ears.

I must have watched and listened to hundreds of hours of live music from Wagakki Band and have yet to hear Suzuhana Yuko sing a wrong note. Also, the outfits by Yuka are amazing but it helps when the wearer is Yuko.
I must ask, did the song "Forbidden Colours" by David Sylvian and Riuichi Sakamoto have an influence on the first chords?
