    I physically hold all of my precious metals, I like having it in a place I can get to without having relying on someone else. Also nice to have them to look at and hold.

    Fully agree BYB,
    Holding physical whether it be Ag or Au far outweighs anything on the screen.
    As long as you have safety protocols in place (hiding places) I don’t fear having something tangible to hold.

    I started buying physical metals after watching your channel, something nice about having a physical investment rather than just numbers on a screen. Love the look of the larger coins I’ve seen on this and other videos, are these 10oz?

    They are different animals for different objectives. Physical is best for long term holding and personal security . Digital/paper is better for short terms trades and playing GSR ( which isnt feasible in physical dues ro premiums/postage/taxes etc hurting gains badly ).

    I like to physically own gold for long term, but I'm not against making a quick buck off digital gold when the market allows. I made a good bit of profit off gold stocks when we had that dip below £1.5k a few months back. Great video as always BYB 👍

    i much prefer to hold it physically, as for use in an apocalypse like you said there is other thing to worry about if it gets to that point. but my only thoughts on it is if you can hold on to some through the tough times with out it being found out, and society does start rebuilding you could use it as a wealth transfer. but the main reason we stack i think is to protect our wealth against inflation.

      Somewhere in the UK I have a very big shed that sits on a thick concrete base and has a very high grade 25Ltr Floor safe set in reinforced rebar with a few feet of reinforced concrete with the safe within 4 sides of the concrete of which I helped to design, its super safe. If you can put a floor safe in the ground on ground level I think its much better than most four-sided safes with the big doors on them, all I have is a small round door to my safe, floor safes if put in the ground right are more secure.

    • @birgitnielsen-j6f

      NEVER GET A SAFE! Someday you may be forced to open it. Not by the petty burglar who breaks in and finds it. But by his friends higher up the "food chain", visiting later when you are at home.

    Digital precious metals are a useful savings vehicle, plus the cash conversion allows you to buy actual precious metal. The interest, if you watch the market carefully is much more rewarding than a good savings account. I've done this before with the RM. Of course, diversity is key - a mix of digital and actual is quite relevant in my own circumstances. If you play it right and don't go outside your budget constraints, it can work out rather well. But, I'm a low-end investor, so I've got little to lose to begin with 🤷

    • @wyrdtarot
      @wyrdtarot ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have always wondered about this. The digi gold at RM did strike me as a good way to save to then buy physical and basically acts like a savings account minus a bank!

    • @dizzybee7386
      @dizzybee7386 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, you still need to transfer the funds back to the bank account after selling the digi-gold/silver/platinum as far as I can see. Then transfer it back as digital wallet. Unless I'm missing something. @@wyrdtarot

    Hi all,
    I may have been taken for a ride on my first purchase. In the moment I didn’t think much of it, got home and started to think about it and won’t be going back to that shop. Was likely overcharged (my fault for not walking away) and am also worried I was sold a 1/10 when I asked for a 1/4. Has anyone else had a poor first experience that has left them wondering “did I just get scammed?” I learned, not taking it well, but really want a positive feeling with stacking. Should I stick with online/PO box to get exactly what I want? I know commemorative coins aren’t the best but that’s all the guy claimed he had and feel sick. Thanks

    • @birgitnielsen-j6f
      @birgitnielsen-j6f ปีที่แล้ว

      I really feel sorry for you, my friend. Here is what you can do: 1) What is said on the face of the coin? 1/10 or 1/4? 2) Did you get a receipt or an invoice? If yes, does it say whether you paid for a 1/10 or a 1/4? 3) If the invoice does not mention the size/weight of the coin then try an weigh your coin. 4) Then check the sellers website and the established dealers websites in order to see which size of your coin type fits the price you paid. 5) If you find that you without a doubt has paid for a 1/4, but was given a 1/10 - confront the shop with that fact! Tell the shop it's human to err, but that you certainly will insist they correct their error!!

    Good points. I just received delivery of 8 sovereigns (1.67 premium) from a quality dealer and that's how I like it, the real thing. I think what one puts their money into comes down to people's individual circumstances for what is best for them. Whether they know what is best for them is another thing. For me buying physical gold is not viewed as investment, but rather a place to keep money for a while as that's what I need to do right now. Others might be much better off investing in other financial products. I'm not worried about premiums at all as I'm in this for the long term and will only buy Britannia's or Sovereign's.Having said that, I still wait for dips in the market and find the lowest premiums before buying. There are specific reasons I buy gold this way which I won't go into, but that's why I think it's very important to assess one's individual circumstances as to what to do with their expendable income.
