Oh my gosh!!! Katya! this lecture is very helpful...I`ve been learning russian for a week! and this is very simple! THANK YOU RussianPod101.com ... !!!
For a second I thought we were going to find out katyusha's age :( if I had to guess I'd say 25-30 years old. Hahaha I love the out takes at the end, please have more of that :) I'm also liking the 5 minute videos as opposed to the standard 2 minute ones. Increase the dosage of Katyusha! I need at least 100 mg :D
Good teacher somehow i can learn all the words easily by following this video, now i only need to practice more and find someone who speaks russian to practice with.
however, I did find the transliteration of the Russian words distracting :/ I like it better with just the Russian alphabet because it's good practice.
Dear Katya This is the first time i have seen your video and I think it is first class. I do not have the internet at home so I use the library. Unfortunately the library computer does no allow me to write in Russian, so I will try to write at home and the paste it. I have tried to study Russian before, but the last time I spoke Russian was more than 10 years ago. so whenever I hear i spoken I find it very difficult to understand. I hope that you have continued to post your videos. In Newcastle upon Tyne it is very difficult to find an instructor. I have books and CD,s, but I know that they are not enough because I no not know whether of not I am making mistakes. Maybe you or some of your students can help. If anyone is interested, please say so. Bryon
Hello Katusha, can you explain why there are two different words for (Year). I know you said something about it matters how old you are, but i was hoping you could explain in more detail.
+Shamrock241 R You say GOD with numbers ending with 1 except 11, then you use GODA with numbers ending with 2,3,4 except 12,13,14 and then you use LET with every other number :) example: мне двадцать один год / мне двадцать три года / мне двадцать пять лет
please explain what we hear as the first words of introduction on these videos? It usually goes " Hello Dear friends" or Hello ???. I would like to know what Katya is saying in the very beginning, greeting us? if possible Please

Hello matt250594, With numbers 2,3,4 please use "goda". With all other numbers, including 11, 12, 13 as exception, please use "let". With number 1 please use "god". Team Russianod101.com
These are good, but too fast-paced. I pause the video with each new phrase/word. I try to pay attention only to the cyrillic form not the transliterations. Thanks.

+nikkaa22 Thank you nikkaa22 that was very helpful.
also "let" is form of leto (summer). in bad old and dark times people in russia had to count "summers" istead of years.
I love you

It is. I slow it down to 3/4 speed.

Катюша, полезные диалоги, но больше похож на урок английского языка. 75% ты говоришь на английском, хотелось бы больше повторений фраз на русском!
She Is Famous Model And Movie Star yes?
whooaa it's a bit fast for me.. and i am a language genius.
Slow down to 3/4 speed.
The sound of your mouth making that wet sound, is really off putting.
You annoy me when you speak Russian so fast, but when you say the words in English you do it very slowly.
Why is America in Russian not spelled Америка
Sounds a bit like French and turkish
