  • ASICS refreshed their GT-2000 shoe for its 12th iteration and the changes to this stability daily trainer bring desirable updates like more cushion and less weight making it a great alternative for runners looking for a bit less cushion and a whole lot less weight than the Kayano 30. See how this shoe fits into the ASICS lineup in our full review.

    Stability shoes have made leaps of evolution. My last pair I bought around 2016 and they were still hard and had multiple support attachments. Since those I've been running in neutral cheap shoes which over the years have caused multiple problems and pain in my feet. So, I picked these shoes up yesterday and could not believe that all the pain and stiffness in my feet was gone the second I put them in. It's so hard to put into words how amazing the gt2000 feel, it's just revolutionary technology.
    What i really love the most if the heel, if you strike your heel when running these shoes will make a world of a difference. Your feet will stay so perfectly stable and firm when landing and they fix my overpronation entirely.

    I bought these shoes about 2 weeks ago as someone who usually weighs around 115 kilos, has no interest in running but walks 10 km every evening 6 days a week and has severe pronation in my feet. This is definitely the best shoe I've ever bought. I was torn between the Gel Kayano 30 and this model. If you are a walking enthusiast and have severe pronation problems, the Gel Kayano is definitely not for you.

    nice to see that asics is moving the gt2000 line closer to the new kayano 30 system

    I stumbled across this shoe on sale recently and I really really like it ... and bought a wide version unknowingly and it works fine....... no frills .......I agree the pull tab can be done away with..... Running stores have recommended a stability shoe for me and I have ignored it and bought the sexy Neutral shoes instead. The 3d system and nice ffblast+ foam work well for my runs. Have yet to try them on faster paces so I will see how they respond.

    I think it's a good update, I'm a big fan of the GT 2000's. I just wich they keep making the GT 2000 version 5 they. I just hope the heel doesn't give me problems. I am still wearing and using my GT 2000version 9 and I hope before the year ends I can buy a new pair. Thanks a lot for the new update, enjoy your running and may God bless you. Regards Marten

    Proud owner of gt 2000 here. The only drawback that I have is that I wish there is more cushion in the forefoot.

    Hi, I do daily Interval Walking Technique (alternate btwn normal speed and fast) + dynamic stretching exercises...Also my trainers outsoles wear out mostly on the outside of the forefoot and heel areas ("underpronation"). My foot arch is normal (definitely NOT flat-foot) Is the GT-2000-12 suitable for me? Thanks very much!

      @patriciabrowne5258 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My physio said they wouldn't be good for plantar fasciitis as the sole is very soft so there isn't much stability. She told me to take them back and got me special insoles

    i think it wont be suitable for all day wear and standing. The ffblast+ seems to be more geared towards movement, its not as stable as the ffblast on gt2000v11. Get the gt2000v11 instead

    Anybody feels like they run slightly long compared to previous GT-2000s or other Asics models?

  • @EggsForDessert
    @EggsForDessert ปีที่แล้ว

    I bought both versions recently with the intention of taking one back. I haven’t run any distance in the GT11s except down the road but I would say side by side the 12s feel much easier and comfortable to run in. I agree the protruding heel feels rather unnecessarily and I am experiencing some ankle rub in the shoe as I think it’s less plush than the 11s on the inside. They do feel quite different despite being the same model name!

    • @andreasschwarz4908
      @andreasschwarz4908 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have both 10 and 12. I also need stability for my pronation. The 10 was recommended to me by a runner's shop. The 12 feels softer, especially on the front, but it's just the right amount and i was able to run a lot more than with the 10 (takes less effort, easier on joints). Nimbus 26 felt like running in mud, way too soft. Kayano made my arch hurt. Was thinking of trying Novablast 3/4 next (out of curiosity) since it's supposed to be similar to GT. Can fully recommend the 12 though.
