The Special Consensus is a bluegrass band that has achieved a contemporary sound in their four decades of performing, making their music a modern classic. The band is led by Greg Cahill, banjo player and recipient of the Distinguished Achievement Award from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), and includes Greg Blake (guitar), Dan Eubanks (bass) and Michael Prewitt (mandolin).
I think I replayed this song 15 times on my Pandora "Dailey and Vincent" station while mowing the lawn today....here in Iowa.

There’s no guesswork in the clockwork - great line. This song, lyrically and melodically, is so excellent. A nice update on classic bluegrass songcraft.
This song was written by Michael Martin Murphey. Check out the original version from the "Blue Sky--Night Thunder" record from 1975!

There are a few UNUSED mandolin lessons I had intended for DVD #4. Maybe I should put one or two up on my TH-cam channel jmoss99 as I will never finish that DVD #4 at this point. I am thinking Paddy On The Turn Pike. I don't remember why we left it off the earlier DVDs. I don't have to go back to the master tapes for that one. It is right here on my computer. Frank was youthful in these 2003 videos. It was 4 years before his bypass surgery.
What happenend to the Friday night jamboree? This channel wants to be a pay channel but the Friday Night Jamboree was the only reason I would buy the channel. What happenend to it?
