Deadpool being the self aware character who doesn't fall to the whims to things like conventional writing standards succumbing to a world of parody because it can completely control him is not the kind of existentialism I was expecting to see today and is kind of dark as hell.

Holy crap, there's just something about the smooth-talking, snarky voice for Deadpool that makes it fit for him more than any recent portrayal of the character. The 50s style music just adds to the performance even more! Great work as always JJ, can't wait to see more of the 4th wall smashin' and slashin' mercenary we all know and love!
It is formulaic, it's just that formulaic doesn't necessarily mean bad. There is a pretty consistent formula. There's setup, some character says something prompting discussion either on purpose or unknowingly, dialog parodying the normal superhero plot and/or certain assumptions made in normal superhero behavior, seemingly returning to serious superhero stuff, and then getting pulled back into the bickering in time for the punchline. But calling it formulaic isn't the same as calling it bad. The formula is good and has great jokes and timing in it.

Also, when it comes to originality and new methods of creation, you don't need to completely change the way you make content simply because you noticed you're doing the same thing over and over. There's a lot of breathing room to change concepts inside of methods and formulas before reconstructing the formula that keep 'doing the same thing' purposeful, entertaining and worth it. The reason we strive to find new methods of doing something isn't because repitition is inherently boring, but rather because eventually, the concept being repeated will lose its purpose. Nothing lasts forever, so finding something new is forever important. This is also why old things can find new meaning after being abandoned and found again. Classic music that makes a comeback after decades finds new meaning under new circumstances, people resonate with it, so on and so forth. The live action edit was incredible. Also, just do you jj. The glorified power point presentations, lack of female voice actors, the jokes. I like it all. Although, it would be funny to see a Wonder Woman focused sketch, where she doesn't even talk at all, and it's just pictures of her communicating in lack-of-voice actress.

I really enjoyed this voice for Deadpool, it does something different from other Deadpool voice actors. He almost sounds like an old forgotten Looney Tunes character and I love it.
This is how he sounds when he fights Wolverine in that animated video and logan cut off his arms . I also think he sounds similarly like this in Ultimate alliance but his voice is a little more raspy like he smokes cigarettes a lot .
Considering breaking the 4th wall is a common occurrence in your videos, it stands to reason then that Deadpool, who normally has that power, would be able to go far beyond that in this format. And he did. And he did not disappoint haha. Nicely done!
Hey man, I love your formula. Because despite it, you can build and make unique jokes about very different scenarios and it's really great. Honestly, it's exactly like what huge TH-camr Scott The Woz does. Take a look at his channel, same scenario with this, in the way he structures his content. It's great for a good reason, punchlines are consistent and throw you off, and voice acting could NOT be better. And I'm glad you took a shot in the dark to be transparent and communicate with us, despite your insanely rapid growth. I hope we can see that more :) been watching since Superman VS the Economy and haven't skipped a video since, so please, don't fixate on the mispronunciations or the formula! And if there's any chance you're reading this, video idea; Hawkman having a redemption arc, by using his reincarnation or some really specific detail to do something that blows everyone out of the water in some discussion. The otherwise formulaic 4th wall-breaking characters like Deadpool and She-Hulk have done to death is one of the reasons why I liked Gwenpool so much. You'd think she's Gwen Stacy dressed up as a pink Deadpool and she'd start doing some repetitive meta jokes, but she's actually just a normal Marvel fan named Gwendolyn Poole who got isekai'd from the "real world" to Earth 616. She (in the beginning anyway) doesn't have any fourth-wall breaking powers--she just believes there *has* to be one because she thinks *she's* real and nobody else is, relying only on her comic book knowledge to get by in the world. Ironically, she knows nothing about Deadpool because she always thought his comics were annoying, which ended up biting her in the ass when he curb-stomped Gwen to the ground and flat out told her nobody's gonna read her comics because everyone's gonna think she's a Gwen Stacy meme.

I mostly watch these to enjoy your interpretation of the characters, your opinion on the source. And so it's not specific to the joke, your flavour is what makes funny to me.

I don't know if this is a callback to Rutger Hauer' Replicant character Roy Batty's iconic lasting monologue in the film _Blade Runner_ or a callback to Matt Smith' Eleventh Doctor grief filled rant against the Sun Akhaten in _Doctor Who_ ... but that was a nice callback.
It's "I travel in world you can't even imagine" and it's a reference to Better Call Saul. Roy Batty's "tears in rain" monologue is "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe."
What's weird is that while Deadpool sounds nothing like most incarnations of him in this video, he sounds pretty similar to how his voice was in Ultimate Spider-Man.

Okay but why a single person was able to use much MORE well the 4th wall breaking aspect of Deadpool's character in a TH-cam video than a bunch of "professional" people in a movie about the same character were all the meta jokes are just Deadpool talking to the audiences and making references. B/c special effects cost money and audience expectation. We know that JJ is a power-point slideshow. When people go to a "marvel movie" they want xyz. It's also why "The Joker" (2019) was so great. It did it's own thing instead of trying to be what the financial budget couldn't provide.
Difference of making 2 minutes and 2 hours of jokes is a couple years of production my friend. Trying to pack this density of jokes into 2 hours would be astronomically difficult. Besides, Ryan Reynolds is a gem.
@@zackhildebrant202 I do think Reynolds is a good choice and he seems to really like the character and i know making jokes for a vid and for a movie is not the same thing, however i still think the movies didn't really understand well what ( i think ) the character of Deadpool is, they used a bit more well his meta aspect in the second movie but it's not enough, you can make much more surreal things with him like having DP using the camera going through different angles for the same scene, changing the language or the colors of the movie just to mess around, buying and reading his own comics to find a solution. I'm not talking about time, i'm talking about imagination, i'm regretting that the movies don't go as far as the concept can go. I know cinema, specially superhero stuff isn't a easy industry and this is what disgust me, they shouldn't treat in such cynism directors, screenwriters, actors and all the others who really wants to make a good film like that.

Like, they're a fun distraction every now and then and aren't even all that samey. Yeah, formula and such, but the execution makes it good.

I really enjoyed this voice for Deadpool, it does something different from other Deadpool voice actors.
He almost sounds like an old forgotten Looney Tunes character and I love it.
This is how he sounds when he fights Wolverine in that animated video and logan cut off his arms . I also think he sounds similarly like this in Ultimate alliance but his voice is a little more raspy like he smokes cigarettes a lot .

Hey man, I love your formula. Because despite it, you can build and make unique jokes about very different scenarios and it's really great. Honestly, it's exactly like what huge TH-camr Scott The Woz does. Take a look at his channel, same scenario with this, in the way he structures his content. It's great for a good reason, punchlines are consistent and throw you off, and voice acting could NOT be better. And I'm glad you took a shot in the dark to be transparent and communicate with us, despite your insanely rapid growth. I hope we can see that more :) been watching since Superman VS the Economy and haven't skipped a video since, so please, don't fixate on the mispronunciations or the formula! And if there's any chance you're reading this, video idea; Hawkman having a redemption arc, by using his reincarnation or some really specific detail to do something that blows everyone out of the water in some discussion. Sorry if I'm vague, but it's just an idea for something to build from lmao

Deadpool mindset
The otherwise formulaic 4th wall-breaking characters like Deadpool and She-Hulk have done to death is one of the reasons why I liked Gwenpool so much.
You'd think she's Gwen Stacy dressed up as a pink Deadpool and she'd start doing some repetitive meta jokes, but she's actually just a normal Marvel fan named Gwendolyn Poole who got isekai'd from the "real world" to Earth 616. She (in the beginning anyway) doesn't have any fourth-wall breaking powers--she just believes there *has* to be one because she thinks *she's* real and nobody else is, relying only on her comic book knowledge to get by in the world.
Ironically, she knows nothing about Deadpool because she always thought his comics were annoying, which ended up biting her in the ass when he curb-stomped Gwen to the ground and flat out told her nobody's gonna read her comics because everyone's gonna think she's a Gwen Stacy meme.

Okay but why a single person was able to use much MORE well the 4th wall breaking aspect of Deadpool's character in a TH-cam video than a bunch of "professional" people in a movie about the same character were all the meta jokes are just Deadpool talking to the audiences and making references.

B/c special effects cost money and audience expectation. We know that JJ is a power-point slideshow. When people go to a "marvel movie" they want xyz. It's also why "The Joker" (2019) was so great. It did it's own thing instead of trying to be what the financial budget couldn't provide.
Difference of making 2 minutes and 2 hours of jokes is a couple years of production my friend. Trying to pack this density of jokes into 2 hours would be astronomically difficult. Besides, Ryan Reynolds is a gem.
@@zackhildebrant202 I do think Reynolds is a good choice and he seems to really like the character and i know making jokes for a vid and for a movie is not the same thing, however i still think the movies didn't really understand well what ( i think ) the character of Deadpool is, they used a bit more well his meta aspect in the second movie but it's not enough, you can make much more surreal things with him like having DP using the camera going through different angles for the same scene, changing the language or the colors of the movie just to mess around, buying and reading his own comics to find a solution. I'm not talking about time, i'm talking about imagination, i'm regretting that the movies don't go as far as the concept can go. I know cinema, specially superhero stuff isn't a easy industry and this is what disgust me, they shouldn't treat in such cynism directors, screenwriters, actors and all the others who really wants to make a good film like that.
