Quick tip, after completing the blade, get some plow slick, it can be purchased online. It's a 2 part epoxy coating, it can be purchased in clear and rolls right on. I've used it for years and nothing sticks to the plow, it hardens to a shell like finish and protects from chipping also. As usual another entertaining video.
You know it brother! I live like 5 minutes from Buffum... Love that course. I'm actually in the middle of building a couple paver tee pads at Webster Fish & Game. You ever been there?
@@TheChristianHardscaper I’m also right down the road from there in charlton! No I haven’t been to that one but that’s cool your putting in some work there love the local vids!!!!!!
Oh nice! You should definitely check out that course, it's mint. $5 a round, full 18 mostly par 3's, 2 par 4's. Its in Webster right next to 395 and MapFre. ✌
Got the same plow just started doing the same thing but didn’t know about that small bit to get in small places gonna have to grab one 👍🏽👍🏽 Masshole here too plym county
Wings save so much time and don't affect windrowing at all. You'll never go back to running without them. I'm around 9ft with mine but if I angle the blade I'm within the width limit but never been stopped running it straight down the road either. One thing I may do to mine is weld little triangles to the bottom of cutting edge to make it ride right up over cracks that normally give you a nasty jolt when the blade trips.
I totally agree with that, I have looked at a couple different wing options for my plow but haven't found any that I'm ready to purchase yet... They would really help save time without a doubt. Thanks for the feedback! ✌
@@TheChristianHardscaper I have the budget friendly Buyers pro aftermarket wings and they work well. I however have bolted sections of leaf spring to the bottoms of the rubber edges as they tend to get chipped up otherwise. As for durability I smacked one on a curb at 35mph and only had to tweak it back on its mounts with a 3lb sledge and it was good to go. Running them 4 years now and no issues.
That looks like fun work I wish I had a truck with a Snow plough on it that would be nice
It is definitely a fun way to spend some time. Pretty fulfilling to restore older plows... ✌

I will look into that, I have been trying to figure out what I should coat it with when I'm done. I'll start the research there ✌
Hope you have a great 2022-23 season with snow plowing. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I’ve had good luck spraying fluid film in an undercoating gun on my plow, front and back. I spray the hell out of it.
I have heard that from a few guys, I plan on doing the same thing once it is all painted 👌✌
By the steps taken to prep it, I'm sure it's going to come out perfect
Thank you, I hope so! ✌
You gotta have that 30ft putt on lock down 🤣
😂🤣 He was nervous from the camera... LMAO! ✌
Do it right the first time don’t cutting Any corners
I try too do the best I can, not a professional painter and I made a few mistakes along the way I'm sure but I think it came out pretty nice
