      His playing was precise, but too fast. Can you imagine the Brahms lullaby being played 15% faster?!

    he would be pretty drunk for every performance, especially at this point in his life... which is just a testament to how incredible of a player he was.

    Elizabeth Cotton called it Spanish Flang Dang on one of her albums. Its in open g tuning

    Whats the name of this place? I've seen in many of your videos and they seem to like a lot of acoustic guitars (the place). Does it still exist?

      It does not, sadly. It was called The New Varsity Theater/Restaurant/Bar.

    Too fast! It sounds like an obligatory performance that he rushes to get through. This happens a lot with other performers too.

      He's said in an interview around this time that the popularity of Kottke pressured him to play more quickly, which he didn't mind too terribly. I think his feel is great in this.
