Hope you’re doing better, mate. I did 10 years in prison, and fortunately there were guitars for me to play. That saved my soul.

You truly are a guitar player with so many different tastes and influences which is just great. Thanks for all you do for guitar players everywhere.

One summer in the late 1990s I happened to be visiting my in-laws in Salem, Oregon when I walked into a record store (an ingrained habit of mine of course) and I picked up a couple of CDs of Fahey's music. I went to the counter to pay for them and the sales clerk told me the artist had been there a while ago. To my surprise, he said Fahey was penniless and in poor health, and he pointed to the Union Gospel Mission, where the legendary guitarist used to go for his meals and a place to sleep. That made me really sad.

Adrian, you’re literally the best guitar teacher on TH-cam hands down, and it’s tutorials like this that prove why. I remember years back when I first listened the Transfiguration of Blind Joe Death album, this was certainly the highlight for me. I’ve always wanted to learn it, and I’d never thought I’d see the day where a tutorial would finally be made for it, and it just so happens to be from the best guy on the whole internet to ever do it. So thankful for you and all that you do, Adrian! I really appreciate this one BIG time!

A great addition to your summer specials. I love all the dissident notes in this one and I’m crazy about John Fahey. A true original. This really sounded wonderful on that Martin mahogany. May have to add a mahogany guitar to the arsenal. Enjoy your vacation!

I love this. Thanks so much for these tutorials. I'm sure I once had that album, long since lost. I'm someone who plays almost exclusively in open tunings due to not having a working pinky on my left hand so these lessons, with a little adaptation, are a godsend to me. At 72 years old I'm just returning to playing after some 20 something years, basically starting again from scratch. I have a similar Martin to you (a 000-10 road series ) I'm currently still working on Sunflower River Blues but will definitely give this a try next.

What a wonderful lesson, made my day. The odd thing is that the part I always envisioned as the sunny side reminds me of the ending to axis bold as love although Fahey did it first. Fahey’ s tunes were often transcendent. Thank you

hey Adrian, I was thinking about a guitar lesson of some song by the Atlanta new wave band The Swimming Pool Q's? "Stingray" for example would be a blast to play, their early stuff was so much fun

Hi Adrian, I hope you're well. I love your channel, your craftmanship, youtr diversity and knowledge, and most of all, your humility. Forgive me for being self-indulgent, but I'm sure I remember you playingf a Felt track long ago - I would love to see you produce a tutorial on Maurice Deebank (guitarist) and particularly any track from the albums 'Ignite the Seven Cannons' or 'The Strange Idol's Pattern and Other Short Stories'. i could suggesdt a few gtr4acks but iu feel that would be taking liberties at this stage, so obviusly the choice is yours. Go well and keep going.

excuse my ignorance but what model is your martin guitar? I can tell that it is not a dreadnought. Mahogany top. Every note sounds very distinct and beautiful.

Dig it, love it in fact. Yo Adrian? I've seen a few tracks by our mutual love, Rowland S. Howard brilliantly tought by yourself, but tell me why is it, despite deeply searching with pure intention that I can't find "Nothin''", by Rowland S. Howard, as a tutorial done by none other than yourself? I hope with earnest that you soon do it justice as only few can. Thank you Adrian, either way.

Hi Adrian. You should have a crack at 'Anji' by Davy Graham ... everyone seems to have made their own version of it (my favourite is Paul Simon's version) ... it would be great to hear your interpretation of it.... nice John Fahey number by the way :-)

Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day. His sinless blood is atonement for all sin who believe. We cannot be made righteous by what we do only by the imputed righteousness of God by accepting the blood atonement through faith. Call out to Jesus from the heart and He will save your soul from hell. It's a free gift and the only reason you refuse it is pride and arrogance and vanity that comes from your father the devil. The good news is you can switch fathers! You can be adopted to a much better family!
