For me, I've been DCAing APPL for about 20 yrs. I have sold some and bought it back over the years, and recently sold 50 shares to diversify. I still have 400 shares and pretty sure most if not all is house money. Also I have 16 other stocks but only like 11 of them and plan to keep them, the others I will get rid of by next year, so it's buy and hold and DCA on all of these 11 I like, but you don't have to mimic 100% just the 3 stocks Tom holds. I've detected trading ranges for some stocks that I would buy and sell when hitting the tops and bottoms of that range. It's really hard to do and not screw up, but Tom's method is safe and sound if you buy great stocks, and keep to the discipline. Thanks Tom, love the vids!.

Just curious, your thoughts on retirement strategy. When a long-term horizon is no longer appropriate sequence of returns risk can kill, A fully invested portfolio. I would imagine DCA out could be just as deleterious as DCA in Is advantageous. I’ve never seen any studies on this.

And why its important to have a " postion " called cash. For those deep red days thet the market has for whatever reasons or when a stock tanks like tesla today. It'll lower your dca and make you feel better on a red day than cursing and being upset 🙂
