Alright. I’m just geeking out because of you. My notes have summaries and main subjects, then, I use this method, and when I’m confident in filling the blanks, I use the ( I think it’s called) blurting method. I’m just geekin with great grades. Couldn’t thank you more.
As midterms for many people are coming soon, here's one of my approaches: If the topic you're learning is very content-heavy and involves lots of conceptual understanding as well as memorization of facts, buy a stack of A3 sized paper and write the topic/chapter that you want to study. Then, write sub-topics surrounding the topic and connect them with lines. Then, go over your notes and whenever you find a topic that connects to the sub-topics you wrote, write that fact down and connect it to the sub-topic. As you add more facts about that chapter/topic, you'll start to notice that there are some conceptual connections between topics. Draw lines connecting those concepts together, and on those lines write why they are related. Eventually, you'll have a whole mind map that is much easier and fun to read than traditional notes, and you'll go through your content faster. This helped me through IB Bio and Chem, and is helping me through uni right now.
What I learned: - Grab a pencil, paper and notes - Don’t reread - Copy down notes from hardest units and leave blanks - Answer the blanks - Review whatever she forgets

It’s better to gather important information overtime of at least a week or minimum 4 days prior, write 5 paragraphs with *key points you need to remember* and attempt to memorise and rewrite what you remember on a blank page. Repeat this process at least 3 hours during the entire week spread out a little.(like 30m per day or whatever u want). (Recommended early morning or late afternoon *only* )
