Our nursery budget was all the money and gift cards from my baby shower lol But it covered all we needed and more!! Baby girl is 7 months and haven’t bought a single box of diapers, wipes, soaps and so much more!! We did a diaper raffle, best idea ever!! Also, the thrift store is great for baby clothes. They grow so fast, you can get new or gentle used clothes at the thrift very in expensive. I have gotten onesies for 45 cents!!!! And new outfits for 2 and 3 bucks 😏 They only wear it a couple times before they grow out of it. Part 2 would be great!!

LOL, but seriously, that advice was really helpful and made me think WAY more carefully about the things I got today. Definitely saved me on some things I didn't actually need! I love budgeting it's so freeing . It reminds me of friends when Monica says Rules Control The Fun ! Lol. I literally love to budget things like buying a smoothie cause I like to buy smoothies and walk my dog or budgeting for "free play" which means walking through Canadian tire and buying whatever I want once a month . I'm a raging shopaholic and I thank God we don't have Target in my country. Amazon is already enough and it's inside my phone. But seriously budgeting and sticking to my budget gives me feelings of security and self worth where as being irresponsible with money has always made me feel lost hopefless and ashamed. I think a lot of people don't realize budgeting for the fun things too is how to have a successful budget - it's not just a list of bills and saving every other dollar

42 years married raised 3 children have 6 grandchildren, we always lived below our income for trips house repairs etc. I even managed to get a cruise to Hawaii for $600 and have been paying monthly amount for the cruise of course I need to pay the gratuity of $400, but we live frugally. after kids left we have a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house we buy rented suv that are 1 year old 6 cylinder and paid $17,000.00 the mileage was 45,000 but it is an amazing vehicle. husband made sure we had a smaller more affordable home, but that was 1985. now a days the economy and homes are crazy high. clearance and sale items always from clothing to food to snacks

We use Mint! So helpful! Also we budget/live off last months income. Current income goes into a "income savings" account for next month, the way we're always a month ahead, and have that buffer, in addition to our 6 month emergency fund, and other savings.

Stockpile some baby formula!!! Even if you plan to breast-feed, it's really important to have a back-up plan! If memory serves, you can put the cans in the freezer and greatly extend their shelf-life. Oh, and you may need to buy a separate freezer, because, let me tell you, you're gonna need that extra storage.
