Conor-long time fan. I grew up (2) miles from IMS. Hats off to your GF! New camera and audio quality is fantastic. Best wishes to you and JHR in the 2025 IndyCar racing season. You always keep it raw and real…Thank you!
Yep you tube channel only going up and same can be said about career. For all the haters, there is absolutely no reason why the #78 doesn't score a win this year. Good driver, good team, great attitude, good momentum. Sky is the limit.
You have earned the right to a successful season. I grew up at 65th & Spring Mill Road in Indy and have been a rabid IndyCar fan since I sold newspapers at IMS at age 9!! New camera quality is great. You got this!!
Went to a Butler college basketball game recently and their famous bulldog mascot was riding in an rc IndyCar controller by his owner. Got me hyped for the season and counting down the days to the 500, can’t wait to see you and Ed Carpenter representing the Hoosiers!!!
Any behind the scenes is always welcome! 👍 Love to find out just how stuff is organized for drivers and race teams (e.g. like you were talking about how you get to races, etc. - interesting everyday kind of stuff)
Love this, can’t wait for more. I agree with a commenter below that intros and short interviews with different crew members would be awesome to learn more about what kind of things they do during the work week and then on race weekends.
Conor - my husband and I are longtime fans. Glad to see you with JHR and your first video on YT! We’d be interested in a walk-through of what the prep is behind the scenes of a typical race weekend. Hoping to catch you in person at a race this year. Love the podcast too!
Thrilled for you that you deservingly got a FT ride with a capable team. Thaks for the video. Looking forward to more throughout the season. Subscribed!
Very cool behind the scenes look! I’m so stoked for this season, so I can’t imagine how excited and anxious you must be to get in and pull those belts tight! 👍
Can't wait to see your absolute well deserved run this year. I'll be rooting for you either on tv or at the track all year. be good and give em hell Conor.
Hello Conor, would you be able to create a video of race car assembly/build? Including commentary on the process, may be a discussion with your engineer and mechanics during the process? That may sound boring to some but for race fan nerds it would be cool to see. Since the race cars are in pieces at this point it might be a good time to do a video like that. I've seen videos where it looks at a repair or assembly of one section but nothing showing and explaining what the team is working through from the beginning to the end. Thank you for posting and good luck this year.
@@ConorDaly22 Thank you for the quick reply. Frankly made my day. I knew this was the answer, but I had to ask. I love the technical. Love your podcast. I'll keep on checking out your content. I hope to make it to a race soon. Doug
Love we're getting more behind the scenes stuff! If you ever need someone to be your videographer/editor, hit me up. Literally a dream job is to be a drivers personal videographer lol All the best this season! 👍
So happy you got the full time ride! Huge fan of everything you do man! Those moves around the outside at (i cant remember) last year was soooo fun to watch. Lookong forward to more sending it this year! Indy honestly is my favorite series now including f1 and nascar. The competition, the cars, the tracks. Killin it
Woohoo! Super excited for 2025 and will be cheering for you every step of the season Daly! Now I just need you to sign with Arrow McLaren so I stop having to buy 2 different sets of merch 😂
You did get a good camera. I will look forward to more of these. I covered the 500 and some other races from 1972 to 2003, so I got used to having inside access. I appreciate seeing behind the scenes. (I photographed an article for Indianapolis Sports Magazine about your parents before they were married. I learned doing that that your mother and one of my uncles had worked together for years setting up the TV network that presented the 500 Festival parade.) I don't have access to over the air or cable TV, so options like this may be my main connection to the series this year.
As you roll into shop videos the tech side might be really interesting, as much as you can share. Like I bet everyone would dig seeing a bare tub, gearbox and suspension (without shocks), front suspension (without shocks) and the way it all moves, how the sway bars work, how the 3rd spring is actuated. Show us how cool the wheel guns are, or how the fuel system fills so fast. Good luck in 2025!
a lot of that stuff the team wouldnt allow me to show though. Sadly. but I will try to see what I can get. The internal adjustments of the car I explained in another video on my channel if you want to go check it out!
Appreciate the vlog and looking forward to more this coming season. Are you able to walk us through the new steering wheel, how it compares to the old one and how you guys will set it up, as you go through the process?
Wow cant wait to see that Cosworth Mk 3 in use I’ve always liked that steering wheel since i saw it used on the hypercars, idk why but steering wheels are one of the coolest parts of a car for me and now i get to see them in my favorite series.
Hey Conor (Mr. Daly? I feel like you’d feel like that’s your dad not you. Idk) I’m one of the marshals at Mid-Ohio and a couple other tracks. Know that we buckeyes are super happy for you! We were sad and scared at Simon’s incident, but so thrilled you got the chance to race here. So so glad you’re back in the series full time. The passion and joy you bring to the sport means a lot to a lot of people dude. We have a ton of state pride, but right now you’ve got as much support in my friend circle as Rahal and Shank’s cars. Not able to make as many races this year as last, but I’ll see you next time at (my first) Long Beach. Hopefully I don’t get a chance to talk to you haha. Super excited and hope it’s a good one. Keep being a great role model, keep spreading love for the sport, and keep kicking ass! Best of luck this season and safe travels
I would like to see a video of you and Sting Ray maybe going out to lunch, doing something together not related to racing, going on a double date, maybe like a sidekick video or something! #TheCirculationPolice
Appreciate the video. First time I saw you in person was at the Buxton Bash back in 2013 in Austin! Can you go into the sim work you do? Talk about the rig what sim you leverage (assuming iRacing or rfactor 2) and how you all set up the sessions, what takeaways come out, etc.
oh nice that is a throwback! the only real sim work we get is at the chevy performance center in charlotte. That sim is a massive unit, full motion. we use our real steering wheel straight from the race car. Technically it is based off rfactor 2 but everything is custom built. Tire models etc. we spend 8am to 6pm on the sim when we get a day on it but we dont get many. Iracing is awesome but its not really a useful tool for me personally at home to use. unless for some reason i need to learn a new track.
Congrats on getting that seat! I’d love to help you redesign your personal website and get some merch going for you as well. Let’s build that CD brand. Regardless, good luck this year and see you at the track!
Hope you have a great season coming up!!! Actually a semi INDYCAR OFFICIAL...have been able to work the Indianapolis 500 since 2019. Im usually posted in the Northchute between 3 and 4. Perhaps hope to meet you at the 500 in May😊😊😊. Crazy question like IMS puts out is it May yet???
Love the behind-the-scenes content I always like seeing stuff behind the scenes or stuff that lets us get to know the driver’s better for example I really loved 100 days to Indy. I hope they’re doing that again. As far as other content, I’d like to see you should check out CJ Faison’s channel. He raced sprints and trucks I believe. …He does a lot of other stuff besides racing stuff, including Randonautica hunts, and ghost hunting etc….when I saw his videos it seemed like the type of stuff I’d love to see from other drivers basically just non-racing related stuff. I feel like it makes the drivers more personable and helps grow the sport and create fans And people love rooting for athletes that they feel more connected to. Kind of how you do gaming live streams. Anyways, just a thought.
@ yeah I didn’t think about the fact that you’re gonna have a pretty busy schedule here soon. You probably ain’t got time to chase ghosts but point being I think people really love just seeing real life and even in speed Street you keep it real and honest, so I just meant that kind of stuff always helps connect with the fans in my humble opinion :) I enjoy it anyways! Great interview on Hinch and Rossis podcast the other day by the way!
Okay, could be the new camera, or just the vibe of having a full-time ride. Looking forward to your sponsor rollout and ready to see CD come out swingin.
