You are not only amazing at what you do, you are an amazing teacher of your art. Thank you so much for what you do. You make the rest of us look amazing!!
oh my gosh, I can't even believe the time and patience required for this!! it is STUNNING and your specific keen eyed perfection is staggering!!! I am two thirds through the granny pop pullover and am doing it in a beautiful chartreuse green which I will edge with a stunning gold yarn then I am going to attempt this!!! also CONGRATULATIONS and gratitude for your BEAUTIFUL website/tutorials... all so beautiful and full of grace. love it. I am obsessed. age 53, started crocheting 6 weeks ago and already have made so much. two oversized granny square blankets for my grown up kids got my DC super fast!!! never tried this herringbone, or using two yarns (though I had wanted to mix the green and gold on my current project.... next time now I know it is a thing!!!!) Have a fabulous rest of the week from UK xxx
This is absolutely beautiful. I’m in the process of making my first sweater and I really like how you do the sleeves by increasing rather than making separate pieces. I’m going to merge your technique with the pattern I’m using --fingers crossed!!
I just finished!! I bought your patter on Etsy and just completed it!! THANK U MJ!! As feedback, I had to elongate the arms quite a bit. I’m too a size S but but arms needed the length of the size L. Also, on page 5 of the pattern, there’s a bit of the instructions (for the left arm) duplicated. Other than that, it was perfect!! It’s the best fitting sweater I’ve made so far!!
Another cool addition would be to do the join as you go band that you did along the sleeves and bottom along the V-neck. You would want to make the hole a bit bigger to accommodate the addition, but especially if you were to make the sweater longer (for those of us who aren't crop top worthy). The band at the neck would help to balance the longer length in my opinion. Beautiful sweater and a wonderful, simple pattern! Thanks for making this available.
This pattern is gorgeous. I think once I finish my color block cardigan I am going to make this for my friends birthday. She will absolutely love it. Thank you Mj your tutorials are so easy to follow. I just can't get over how stylish all your patterns are. I'm so happy I found you here. 😊
I really like this sweater and it’s so pretty. Thanks for telling about making it longer. I definitely will. Also I like the construction of it. Thanks for sharing!!! Have a great day!!!
Hi! I am writing from Algeria, I made 4 of your project and it's is so easy to work on one peace . Even though in my country we have not that much choses as far as yarn is concerned.but am enjoying it. Thanx a lot
I just completed my first sweater using this awesome pattern. I used a thicker yarn, so it doesn't look as nice, but I feel proud of myself. Working on the second with a thinner yarn, and wondering if I could make it with a turtleneck instead of a v-neck. So much fun! Great tutorial. You explained everything so well! Thank you!
You can make it any way you want. I like to make a turtle l using alternating front post and back post stitches. You can find a pattern on TH-cam . It’s very easy & no sewing..
I just finished my sweater this morning and want to thank you for such a nice tutorial! It turned out so beautiful! I will be making the waffle stitch cardigan next💕
I have learned so much from you over the years! Thank you for another beautiful tutorial!! I love this sweater. I am making one using the Moss Stitch and making it a little longer but the neckline will be the same. The yarn is a cotton bamboo blend in a deep purple. Happy Holidays!
I will be making this sweater once I finish the color block cardigan. This was the second time I've watched this video and you mesmorize me when you crochet. You do such a beautiful job and explain what your doing so well. Your so talented. Thank you i kmow you've helped me to be much better. I absolutely love this herringbone stitch it is so beautiful! 😊
Absolutely GORGEOUS! But I would add enough stitches at the end of those chains for the sleeves for the ribbing and you could crochet the ribbing of the sleeves as you go. Just a suggestion, You are the expert and doing an awesome job!
Just finished this sweater. I made it in XL and I had trouble getting the sleeves to fit at the cuffs (too big). I decreased when adding the single crochet before the ribbing but it wasn't quite enough. I also added length so mine is not cropped length. I love the sweater though, it's really pretty and fits well. The instructions were easy to follow and it is sized correctly, in my opinion. Thanks for the free pattern. Might make it again with a different yarn.
When making an XL (or any larger size), I am wondering how you can prevent the sleeves being too wide at the cuff? Since this is all in one piece, how could you 'decrease' so the sleeve is narrower at the wrist?
I'm from Egypt ,I made it for my daughter thanks a lot I'm soooooooooo happy with it, l learned many new things I never do before you and your work are amazing thanks again💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Thank you so much for this video! I'm reasonably new to crochet and I'm wondering if I can adjust this so I can make this longer as a crop sweater isn't really my style, but I love the sweater! I really have no idea how to customise patterns as I'm still new to crochet so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much! Lots of love from England
Its a beautiful sweater I just love it & I'd love to make 1 for myself & my daughter but..... It would be 75+ for the small just for her & I have to make it....when I could go to kohl's n buy 3 for that... I wish there was some yarn substitutes you could recommend that were a bit more economical thank you
Hi MJ. I’m a little confused. Are the increases for the neck opening increased at the end and beginning of each row? After you finish with two increases and chain 2 and turn, do you add an increase as well? Thank you. I love this pattern!💗
The pattern includes sizing to 5X. The band is made longer for the larger sizes. You will find the sizes in brackets. XS (s, m, l, xl) (2x, 3x, 4x, 5x)
This is very beautiful! Great job on designing a top in yarn weight that I have. Been looking for one that has fingering weight yarn! Thank you again!!! 🙏🏻😊
WOW! It's so easy and absolutely clear! Thank you very much. I just started from the bottom some new project and was thinking about what to crochet and how. The idea is great (seamless). Greets and best wishes from Russia 🇷🇺
how beautiful 😍.. thanks for sharing such awesome Project.. l made it the same color as yours.. but may l ask you what's the ideal way to block it if you mind please 🌹
You make the most beautiful garments. It fits your natural beauty. You are so creative to figure out how to make these sweaters in one piece. Girl you must of been a genius at math. I love the concept but I tend to confuse myself easily. I'm going to make this sweater, do you recommend fingering yarn or would a dk work, I have not tried to crochet with a 1 yet.
For my back and short arms m size is perfect. But for my breast I have to had a L size. Can I increase one more just when I start my front size? Once I finished the sleeves and I will start from the markers. I just love ❤️ this pattern 😍
I’m a little confused here. When we get to the marker, add two to the last stitch so it would make it 3 double crotchet stitches in the last one and also 3 in total in the first stitch of the next row. Am I correct?
Et encore un modèle magnifique que j’adorerais faire mais encore une fois les explications ne sont pas en français pourquoi ça tombe toujours sur les plus beaux tuto. 😢😢 bonne journée
If you need to do an increase every row in the sleeves does that mean that you also have to increase when you turn at the stitch marker? Working toward the other end where you dont increase?
I stopped doing this pattern cos I got stuck at the sleeve and now I had cut the wool and did the 54 stitches for the sleeve left and then you say you used a separate ball of wool???? After the fact. Wish you had of said that before you start the sleeve. Thankyou for sharing the pattern.
Love this project! Definitely going to try. How do you take care of the cardigan? Do you wash it in washing mashing or by hand? Any special type of detergent?
It’s a gorgeous design! I would have to figure out yarn subs as I would itch like crazy with the mohair and probably the wool. Merino would be ok for me, but I’m not sure what I could use in place of the mohair.
Gorgeous pattern and I love the look! Wecrochet is out of the mohair. I'm preparing to buy the substitution you suggested which is caprita superwash. Is this to be combined with the pallete or on its own?
I'm not done making this yet, but it's been really easy to follow and it looks great! I had to tweak the second sleeve because I only have one giant ball of yarn but so far so good. My question: My body's a weird shape, and my... erm... ladies... are a lot closer to my neck than other people's are to theirs. This means that usually my necklines need to not dip as low as standard for the sizing. How would you suggest I change the increase to make a shallower V? (Hoping to raise the point of the V by about an inch if possible) Thanks!
You can buy modesty panels to either wear underneath or swe directly underneath, you can get them in some lovely patterns and colours, I've seen them on Amazon, hope that's another option you could consider 😀
You are not only amazing at what you do, you are an amazing teacher of your art. Thank you so much for what you do. You make the rest of us look amazing!!

I love that the sleeves are not dropped!
This was my first complete sweater and I'm really happy with it. Thank you for the excellent directions!

wow LUCKY friend!!! I only started to crochet 6 weeks ago and may be a bit ambitious in the amount of things I want to make ppl for Christmas lol xx
Very pretty and it looks so soft. Another one added to my project list. Thank you for sharing this
Deine Anleitungen sind immer super toll erklärt, da fällt es einem leicht das Model nachzuarbeiten. Vielen Dank.
Just finished this sweater, love how it's all one piece.
I’ve done a lot of sweaters and I love the sleeve and neckline pattern here on your sweater. Good job on the pattern and also the yarn selection.
I am making this one at the moment, i have purchased the same yarns so it turns out the same. I love your videos and your blog page.
Enjoy!!
I really like this sweater and it’s so pretty. Thanks for telling about making it longer. I definitely will. Also I like the construction of it. Thanks for sharing!!! Have a great day!!!
You are so welcome!

Stunning! Your yarn choices were perfect and the herringbone stitch is so much nicer than just half or double crochet.
Thank you! 😊

Just made this, and it turned out so beautiful!!
Did you use exactly type and brand of yarn?
J ai adoré faire ce pull .très facile et si bien expliqué. Merci
OH! MY! GOSH!!!! This is GORGEOUS!!! Great stitch too! It looks great!
Thank you!!
Morning. Pretty sweater and good tutorial. I saved it for a later date. Thanks. Take care.

I Lov the Herringbone, but I get distracted trying it in different yarns in my stash!! It’s so pretty.
Easily one of the best tutorials on TH-cam. Thanks so much! 😊
Absolutely GORGEOUS! But I would add enough stitches at the end of those chains for the sleeves for the ribbing and you could crochet the ribbing of the sleeves as you go. Just a suggestion, You are the expert and doing an awesome job!
OMGOODNESS WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SWEATER ❤️❤️❤️❤️💝THANK YOU
I live in Peru and I never saw that yarn 🤣🥲 but what a beautiful project ✨💞
I have also made the same and fitted perfect to my little sis 🤗.... Thank you
Best wearable pattern I've ever attempted. Thank you so much!
Спасибо, очень красивая работа!

I have the Hobbii Dahlia fine weight yarn and I'd love to use that but I'm not sure it would work for this type of design.
Magnifique. Vous êtes une vraie professionnelle
Your sweater is beautiful. Thank you for sharing how to make it.
Wow really nice top . I will try it for sure. Thanks for showing us how it's done. It's Janice from Malta in the Mediterranean. Thanks
So beautiful! And a perfect explanation, thank you!
Gorgeous! Especially when you work with beautiful yarn!
Just bought your pattern for this on Etsy and got my yarn and swatch ready!! Can’t wait!! 😊
Очень красиво! Очень понятно. Спасибо. 😊
I do also like the original scallopped neck too.
Just finished the sweater this morning, I love it 😍
Ooh! I think I can make this lovely sweater.
It is a beautiful... I love it ...I well do it...thank you so much
I just watched the video and is truly lovely, wonderful detail, great teaching I enjoy it very much. Thank you for sharing:)
Just keep adding length before starting the sleeves. Make sure to work the same length on the front.
How many extra balls of yarn per so many inches in additional length please?
Hi I’m new in crocheting can you pls tell me where I can get the written pattern thank you
Its a beautiful sweater I just love it & I'd love to make 1 for myself & my daughter but..... Beautiful pattern, Michelle.
Wow great video so detailed and gorgeous pattern! Love your voice too ! 🤗
Hi MJ. I’m a little confused. Are the increases for the neck opening increased at the end and beginning of each row? After you finish with two increases and chain 2 and turn, do you add an increase as well? Thank you. I love this pattern!💗
Love this sweater! I’m a size 12 or 38 bust but still not sure how to read your directions 😕 to make a larger size
The pattern includes sizing to 5X. The band is made longer for the larger sizes. You will find the sizes in brackets. XS (s, m, l, xl) (2x, 3x, 4x, 5x)
@@mjsoffthehook thanks hon but where do I find the pattern please

This is very beautiful! Great job on designing a top in yarn weight that I have. Been looking for one that has fingering weight yarn! Thank you again!!! 🙏🏻😊
Hi! this sweater is beautiful you do such great work! How many chains would you start with for a size XS?
Thank you
Gorgeous. Thanks for sharing it with us
Very pretty, will need to make this. Thank you for sharing🙏🏻🥰
You make it look so easy ❤thank you so much for sharing with us 💚
Una labor muy bonita, gracias por los subtítulos en español
What a great tutorial, i need to do to progress to making garments.
Would you block your jumper before stitching it up?
Beautiful pattern! Really pretty! ❤
If you wanted to work with a single yarn what weight would you advise?
A DK weight would work
@@mjsoffthehook that's fantastic! Thanks so much, I always have massive problems when I try to use mohair 🙈
WOW! It's so easy and absolutely clear! Thank you very much. I just started from the bottom some new project and was thinking about what to crochet and how. The idea is great (seamless). Greets and best wishes from Russia 🇷🇺
Beautiful. I like very much the color. Great work!
Sweater tutorial. ! Your crochet works are stunning ! 😊💗
Thank you for sharing MJ!

Bonjour tres beau pull, combien de pelotes pour la taille s/m merci
Very beautiful!!!! Thanks from Argentina!!! 😍👏👏👏
Thank you for sharing is so beautiful hope I find the same yearn 👍❤

I love the concept but I tend to confuse myself easily. I'm going to make this sweater, do you recommend fingering yarn or would a dk work, I have not tried to crochet with a 1 yet.
Go with DK weight if you're using 1 strand of yarn. Math was my best subject in school!
For my back and short arms m size is perfect. But for my breast I have to had a L size. Can I increase one more just when I start my front size? Once I finished the sleeves and I will start from the markers. I just love ❤️ this pattern 😍
Komt er hiervan een patroon? Ik vind hem zo mooi en zou hem graag willen haken. ❤😮
Very pretty. Thank you for the tutorial
I’m a little confused here. When we get to the marker, add two to the last stitch so it would make it 3 double crotchet stitches in the last one and also 3 in total in the first stitch of the next row. Am I correct?
Thank you for sharing this gorgeous gorgeous
J adore très beau pull👏
You made it looks easy thanks a lot ,how many yarn strands did u use in total for small in metres or yards please let me know
Et encore un modèle magnifique que j’adorerais faire mais encore une fois les explications ne sont pas en français pourquoi ça tombe toujours sur les plus beaux tuto. 😢😢 bonne journée
Thank you so much! Beautiful. How many stitches for a medium size?
Beautiful sweater!
Luv this sweater!!! Would it be easy to make it longer??
If you need to do an increase every row in the sleeves does that mean that you also have to increase when you turn at the stitch marker? Working toward the other end where you dont increase?
Linda. Parabéns.
Brilliant design😍 Thank you
How much yarn did you use to make the sweater?
Another lovely design 🤩
Thank you! 😊

So pretty love it and you look awesome in all your shots!!! Now I need to buy more yarn damn it 😂
Thanks so much
I'd love to try this pattern by I'm a little hesitant about the yarn. Is there a substitute yarn you'd recommend?
It’s a gorgeous design! I would have to figure out yarn subs as I would itch like crazy with the mohair and probably the wool. Merino would be ok for me, but I’m not sure what I could use in place of the mohair.
This sweater is not itchy at all. It's soft and silky. You can sub for a DK weight yarn of your choice.
Gorgeous pattern and I love the look! Wecrochet is out of the mohair. I'm preparing to buy the substitution you suggested which is caprita superwash. Is this to be combined with the pallete or on its own?
Capretta is a good sub for palette. If they’re out of Aloft you could go up to a Sport or DK weight as a substitute using only 1 strand.
Lavoro meraviglioso. Che taglia è quello in video? Quanti gomitoli hai usato, puoi indicare il peso di un gomitolo e quanti metri è lungo?
I'm not done making this yet, but it's been really easy to follow and it looks great! I had to tweak the second sleeve because I only have one giant ball of yarn but so far so good.
