Nobody is complaining, there was no Afghan fans in the studio. The experts were simply stating facts.
That pitch became extremely similar to the Johannesburg or Durban pitch back in SA so it was a clear advantage to them.
Fair play to South Africa and congratulations to them but you can't deny that one team had significant advantage over the other although they played on the same pitch.
Nobody was complaining when teams scored 250 plus ..when it becomes a little tough for batters they crib... It was a very entertaining world Cup with all it's issues.
This kind of pitch support South Africa , that's increase biases in result . Pitch should be something that competitive for both the team . If any pitch support the game of one team then it add biases which is not good for any tournament

Eventually the semifinal jinx has been broken. That 1 ball 22, All that tears, rain, DLS, bat drops will no longer haunt a South African fan now.
South Africa still has to win the final otherwise they will remain under achievers. I am not using the term chokers because it is a insulting term. Since 1992 after their readmission into the cricketing world they have massively underachieved. They have had bad luck along the way, that is why i feel that luck has a say in how things work out in cricket. That is why i have been saying all along on social media to fans in India and Pakistan besides skill that luck goes a long way in determining the knockout winners, so stop using the word chokers.

Afghanistan's top scorer was the extras. Only one player scored over 10 runs, with 10 from 12 balls. I am happy they made it this far, but their performance was disappointing. It's sad to see them struggle because I know they can do better. Their lack of experience shows, which makes sense since even stronger teams like India often lose in knockouts (Hopefully not today)..And afterall, this was their first semi-final.
No that why we have a semi finals to show your power playing who is the best team to advance into the finals it doesn't make sense to play good cricket then semi finals you loose like a losers it doesn't add up at all it's a waste of they efforts, energy, dedication, enthusiasm passion all gone the drain be practical and think out of the box cut out the stereo type propaganda..
In the end, Afghanistan just ran out of gas. As a batting group, they are still a little ways away from being a champion side. On a spicy pitch, they just couldn't handle it. But still, it should not diminish the wonderful work they have done. I am happy for SA to finally reach a final. They put in their most overall convincing effort in this tournament so far. If not India, I would like SA to win.
The batting depended too much on the opening pair. They still struggle against genuine pace.

This was a tough pitch for Afghanistan, SA have more experience playing these wickets and scored 60 off 8, which means they probably could easily have scored 150.
Afghanistan were 30/5 at 6 over mark sums adding 13more extra runs for 56 says it all about the top bowling by Jansen & Rabada upfront and afghan batters looked so vulnerable against pace as well.
Zak mostly gives run of the mill answers, which turns out very boring actually. The best ones who bring energy and perspective are Harsha, Joy, DK, Vaughney, Parthiv, Gilly and Sehwag in the decreasing order. And ofc the best anchor is GK followed by Manish. Sayami's tone, pitch, delivery and expression remains the same throughout the show. Hard to believe that she is an actress. Listeneing to Sayami feels like listening to radio.

That's why you see a difference when GK, Harsha, Joy review matches unlike people who have been players before turned analysts like Zak, Viru, PP. GK, Harsha, Joy know how to make a SHOW. They aren't bothered by camera or criticisms that their reviews would get. Very frank, exciting, they know how to present.
Saiyami, Zak and co feels a bit bland. Often feel like its not cricbuzz but a news tv channel going on.

I would say Australia were lucky in WC 23. Only luck is an explanation for them scraping Afg and ended up winning against SA and India. SA and India were clearly deserved finalists of WC 23.

Vaughan is right this time. The world cup is in Windies. Set the tournament comfortable for fans in Caribbean. Is ICC not confident of the world cup profit if Indian viewership is missed? Isn't the job of ICC to spread the craze of cricket in every corner of the world? Why should the WI Board need to arrange matches in both morning and evening?
Imagine the criticisim if such a pitch and total happened in a tournament conducted in India!! What drama we would have seen.
This is by far the worst tournament in terms of pitches. I would have loved 150-160 pitches but so many 100 run games.

This pitch wasn't crazy bad, just a bit pace friendly. It was South Africa's lethal bowling that cornered Afghanistan. I agree that the New York pitch wasn't the best but the Caribbean pitches have been rather decent.
