- In this video that I recorded last night, Robert Plant plays live at the Cambridge Folk Festival (July 27th 2024) and includes some classic Led Zeppelin songs.
This video does not capture the true magic of this great performance, but I wanted to share it with you anyway. Absolutely top set from the ever-mighty Robert Plant and his great band.

I second that. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
Thankfully Robert has had a happy knack of making new music, re-interpreting his back catalogue and at the same time introducing us to his favourite music. It's always a treat to hear him and whatever great band he puts together.
Agreed. He is a star for a reason, and a very likeable one at that. Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻
Exactly that. So glad I made this gig in Cambridge, gutted I missed him in Bewdley last Saturday
Fantastic! Love Robert and love his stuff old, new, and everything in between. Monster talent.
I agree; Robert Plant is a very special man. So glad he played some harmonica, which he is great at. I wish I had captured some of his stage banter too; he is really funny! Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻

You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
great!
Yep, Robert Plant was amazing. Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻
I got to see Robert plant in 1988.
Was he brilliant? ✨
Good to see Percy blowing some harp!
Indeed! He’s one of my favourite harmonica players along with Neil Young and Ryan Adams. They play with soul.
I saw Robert and Alison at Edmonton Folk Festival two days ago. Fantastic concert and my only disappointment (if you can call it that) was that Percy did not play harmonica. Would kill to hear that. Absolutely loved the show.
I would love to see those two perform together! Robert Plant is one of my favourite harmonica players. Hope my little clip filled that gap for you! Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻
Плант сердится..... Когда его называют Перси.
Love Friends ❤
Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻
❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
He sounds way better on this concert than one of the others I saw.
He was great! Where did you see him?
its good to see some artists put on festivals for the Tone Deaf .
Are you referring to Robert Plant’s performance, or fans of folk? 🙂
Unlike Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, Robert Plant actually has a career after Led Zeppelin.
Good for him !
True, and when you’re a multimillionaire in your 70s, why work? Except for the love of music, which Robert Plant displays in spades.
JPJ has done plenty. Crooked Vultures, absolutely loads of producing and is a very generous bass and mandolin tutor at festivals.
I said hello to him once in Chiswick. Nice fella.
Sorry to correct you, but this was Friday 26th - Turin Brakes and Larkin Poe played on the 27th - I'm pleased to say I was there.
Oh yes. Thank you. How were Turin Brakes? We were too tired to stay up a watch, being unfamiliar with their music.
Well I wasn't sure what to expect either from them, but found myself surrounded by folk who were clearly fans of their music, and they played a pretty decent set of rock numbers familiar to lots of the audience
@@goldenoldie68That’s good. We’d heard so much fiddle-de-dee on Saturday we had rather lost hope! It seems the organisers eschewed variety on Saturday and Sunday.
Robert always understood the importance of Change. In late 72 when he lost the high frequency he learned how to make that fit in Zeppelin’s Prime 73-75. After Zeppelin in the 80.s he embrace pop n later w/ American Appalachian folk he Adapted. At 76 he still evolving. We can all learn to change - Now it’s a Spiritual Shift. The Elder of the Tribe has Transcended!
He is wise indeed, and very funny between songs too. A national treasure.
Love

velka rockova legenda, charizmaticky spevak,aj v 76 rokoch je v kondicii, hlas ma stale skvely, slavny zeppelinovsky styl stale je v jeho krasnom nezamenitelnom hlase.
I fully agree. Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻

You want more music from Mr Plant?

Great footage! Do you have anymore you can post?
There’s a little bit of Bernard Butler…?
@@AlistairPope I do like a bit of Bernie!!!!
Coming up!
Hmmm I don't know about this .
iPhone footage doesn’t do it justice; it was an electric atmosphere there in the room. Or tent, rather.
Not very impressive?
Maybe you had to be there.
N@@AlistairPope No thanks once in 1969 was enough
Wow, you really saw him in 1969?! What was that like?
glad someone is honest
Still sounds in good voice
Right? 75 and still hitting those high notes with ease. He must sing every day. Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻
❤❤❤
Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻
