BJP leader Shazia Ilmi broke down in tears as she talked about Swati Maliwal incident and recalled alleged humiliation she faced as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader. She said that the incident narrated in the FIR was very painful. She said that it is the culture of AAP. She also remembered how she was blackmailed back when she was a member of the party. They also blackmail each other; the party is surviving on the blackmailing only, she added.

Interestingly Swati Maliwal was the chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) from 2015 to 2024. And she was also the former PA to Arvind Kejriwal. At present she is a serving MP in Rajya Sabha . If a woman like Swathi faced such a brutal assault in the chief ministers residence and by the PA to chief minister , what will be the case of laymen women in Delhi. ?.Does it raise serious concerns. ?
