I personally love my airfryer, I’ve been using it at home and in the Doctor’s Kitchen studio since the start of the year, but can they be considered a ‘healthier’ cooking method? This is a question I’m often posed online so we did some research and looked at a few studies.
Airfryers aren’t a new invention, in fact they’ve been around for a number of years but the popularity of them has soared over the last 2 years.
The way air fryers cook foods is by circulating hot hair containing tiny droplets of oil around the foods. It actually mimics the effect of submerging food in hot oil but using significantly less oil. So, it allows quick and even cooking and creates crispy coatings on the outside of the food, with less calories, hence the reputation for being a ‘healthier alternative’ to frying.
On todays episode we looked at the pros and cons of airfryng across a number of domains including:
    Cost and convenience
    Preservation of nutrients
The detrimetal impact of excessive heat on the oils and fat used
How they compare with other methods including oven roasting and sauteeing
The environmental impact considering the materials they are made from
Plus our overall take on how I’m now using my airfryer and newer gadgets to look out for!

Did they talk about the harm of the non-stick coating in the food or just in regard to the environment? I would have though the non-stick coating would be on top of the Con list?

I think what wasn't addressed is whether reducing the temperature of the air fryer reduces the risk and makes it comparable to the conventional oven. Also, using acidic ingredients like lemon juice I think has shown reduction in harmful chemicals.

I use my air fryer 2 or 3 times a week. It's a great way to cook with little to no oil. I love it

What does she mean by little drops of oil? You don’t have to use any oil or just a little spray or brush on if you want.

Good discussion but I think too much emphasis on comparison with deep fat frying. I personally rarely used any oil. I use lemon juice on a regular basis with meat and look at my Ninja Max as a convection oven and I restrict the temperature to 180 or below. Wash it after every use and dry using the air fryer for 2/3 minutes.
Works for me. Use it most days.

I highly recommend the Ninja airfryer range. I've recently updated mine to a Ninja Max purely to avoid Teflon.
Do Ninja Air Fryers Have Teflon?
No, most of the Ninja air fryer models do not have Teflon. The coating on most Ninja fryers is non-stick ceramic and stainless steel, which is free from PFOA and PTFE. So, cooking in the Ninja air fryers is completely safe without worrying about the release of toxic fumes or leaching chemicals into your food.

Ninja uses a ceramic coating that will soon start
flaking off putting chemicals into your food.

Breaking down the amino acid / protein with acidic ingredients might withdraws the nutrients the nutrients from meat. Plus when we add this lemon juice or vinegar. we always have to add sugar to it. There are more disadvantage than decrease the amount of AGEs

    • @virginiemazy7054
      @virginiemazy7054 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Why would you add sugar ? You can marinate chicken in a marinade with lemon juice without any sugar and it would turn on great ?

If you don't want to use oil, I understand that many 'no oil vegans' use their air fryer for the extra crispy and love it. Here say as I've not used one yet.

After listening to this for the last 29 minutes, I’m having spent two hours watching you speak with Dr. B I realize you have a massive food addiction for a position and it’s quite dangerous. You’re not really interested in the truth is my impression.
Because you’re interested in the flavors and the truth is is that your pallet needs to be retrained which takes about 120 days
I want you to take a moment to consider, that no animal and nature cooks their food except humans fire was one of the worst inventions ever discovered, because humans decided that they were smarter than nature and all the other living creatures, gods creatures in nature, who happened to intuitively understand that none of their food should ever be compromised and it should be eaten raw and fresh. This includes omnivores and carnivores, who never met with perfection, but humans do.
If you want to eat safe food, then you’ll want to make sure that it has been grown correctly without pesticides without any type of fertilizers, particularly from animals and you’ll want to eat it as close to nature as possible therefore, you know if you have to cook some thing it is not your food
And I’m not here to debate or argue that that is the truth the whole truth nothing but the truth and you can go ahead and change it to your liking and you can say all the negative things you want to and you can call it a fat diet, but the truth is you have no idea what the proper Food is for human. You’re here to have an experience and it will cost you your well-being when you pick fruit and vegetation it is never more than 118° and you should never go above that and that would be the internal temperature which has been elevated to 118° because of the sun but it will never go above that and it should never be consumed above that temperature
You shouldn’t be using any cooking apparatus whatsoever
There’s air fryers are not good for you. Neither is cooking your food in the oven or in a pot of boiling oil, or boiling the nutrients out of it, dehydrating the nutrients, and also the hydration. Most people are suffering with issues related to dehydration, which is negatively impacting their health
It makes absolutely no sense to me. The most simple truth cannot be accepted. It can’t even be received because people are always gonna let their addictions speak sense is ever deployed and I would’ve said common, but let’s face it common isn’t even a thing anymore it’s more like extinct sense.
The truth is animals are the smartest creatures on this planet
And the fact that they are treated the worst they are ignored. Their rights are violated. They are objectified and exploited, as well as processed to be a humans food for some people is unbearable and I would be one of them.
I find no interest in content in this video, and therefore will not watch anymore because there’s nothing but rubbish coming from this channel .
I’m not a religious woman whatsoever. I’m actually a health psychic, which I’ve mentioned previous comment but I thought it worth mentioning once again
I was led on this journey I wasn’t choosing and picking I wasn’t looking for a fad, and I wasn’t looking for anything but to feel better, which required me to do the unthinkable and that was to relearn everything.
And change my lifestyle, not according to my pallet, but according to what was intended for my body, which is the temple
And I can tell you that in the Bible, it specifically states, according to Jesus, at least that is what is written that if you eat death, death is what you will become, and the truth is, is that all of the things that you consider food or not not to mention the fact That you consume death and therefore that is what you will become
So, if you truly are interested in being healthy, it would be reflected in your choices and your conversation, neither of which is visible when you speak talk like a fiend who needs a fix
That is very typical of someone who has a major addiction and food is probably the number one addiction on the planet or should I say so-called food
You’ll see the consequences because you’re just choosing the lesser of the evil but they’re all bad options
And for those who find themselves inflamed by my comment who wish to argue debate, and even wage war, the science is out here that supports when I’m saying, and they’ve been people who have been living that life, which is known as a raw food lifestyle for decades, and it shows you can clearly see the difference between those people and the people who eat a standard American or standard, whatever standard wherever they are and you’re looking for a way to screw around doing the correct thing and keep missing the boat
    And that will have consequences
But if you’re not living a good lifestyle, and you’re not the healthiest that you can possibly, you are inadequate and inefficient to be the guide, and the expert, helping your patience achieve that
That’s why I have unsubscribed to this channel
And will listen to nothing further

Humans have been using fire in ovens for thousands of years... They roasted their lamb and they baked bread. Even though many ate their fruit and vegetables, raw and some civilizations eat their fish raw, it has not been the normal way. Even an ancient Samaria and an ancient Egypt where there was a wide use of vegetables when they ate meat. They did roast it
Our systems are different from apes and their different from dogs and they're different from cats... You can't Put humans on the same level as you Would any of these creatures.
I agree that you are right about humans not knowing what real food is. We have been taught to consume what's in our grocery store, even the vegetables... All the thousands of vegetables and fruits that were known to man have long been eradicated or lost to civilization.
Even here in America we are down to three or four apple types of the store whereas we used to have hundreds of apples grown across the US.
And globalization has not helped either.

Planet? Flat plane. Another long topic?
It doesnt generally work to tell people off on social media or try to preach to them, as much as we may want them to know something or understand.
Have to respect someone trying so hard and have done some homework on that.
My best friend and yhe two daughters she raised at the way you did for decades. For a while they did well but as the years went on and she continued her studies into the natural profession for body and mind heath, she explained the pitfalls …
Altho eating animals is still 🤮
