    He is 100% right about the training. The people who are great at what they do, are great because they are constantly putting their time, energy and work into what they do. Day and in day out, they are working on their goal and always striving to improve and be better. They are not talking about it, they are working towards it. When it comes down to it, everyone has the potential to make money. Everyone has the ability to be successful. It all comes down to you though. If you are willing to put in the work, then you will reap the rewards. You cannot however expect success without putting anything into it. You cannot expect to be rich without producing anything of value. I believe that no matter what stage you are in life, the learning never stops. We can always learn how to be better. We can always learn how to improve. That is why I do not believe there are masters, because even a master can learn from a student. We can all learn from each other. We can all help each other. And we can all ultimately lead healthier, happier lives.

  • @GordonMiller
    @GordonMiller 8 ปีที่แล้ว +204

    Tai is right. Evidence shows that it takes 10,000 hours doing something to master it. Most pilots only have 5,000 hours in the air. I have found that in business that it takes 5-10 years of 2,000+ hours a year to even start to dominate and once you realize that technology and trends shift every 5 years now it is almost impossible stop learning and still succeed. You have to keep changing what you know and become a life long learner.

    • @metoowahl
      @metoowahl 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gordon Miller it depends on how fast you learn naturally.
      that is the KEY INGREDIENT.
      If someone says that it takes so many hours to learn something in a book, it's only because they invented it and making money off it.
      I'm not saying this to discredit him or to put him down because he sounds like a good person.
      but if someone is doing all the talking, who is doing all the work.
      I don't think for one minute that he built the mansion he lives in.
      but my question is, Could he survive without the money or the credibility of his surroundings?
      I have a lot of questions for him????????

    • @GordonMiller
      @GordonMiller 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Matthew, having been in "the game" for almost 30 years now, the 10,000 hour rule has nothing to do with how fast you learn, it has to do with direct experience and being naturally exposed to various scenarios. I have over 60,000 hours of experience and I am still learning something new every day.

    You hit the nail on the head! This video really hit me and it hit me quick. Pride can only get you so far in life. People wanna bullshit you because "they wanna have a delusional because they didn't succeed." You have to train and train for years to become the best. Just like one of the best movie "A Bronx Tale" says "be one of the greats ones." It wont happen overnight either. Many people think because they don't master what they are training in, they decide to quit. Like Tai says, the world tends to handicap us instead of telling us the authentic truth about life. This video definitely changed my life and my perception on life. I started building my business and this is what I needed to hear, not the bullshit lies society told me.

    Man, so many of us need to continually hear this message including ME! Growing up, I also had family and friends that meant well when they said "you're destined for great things." The more I learn from tai, the lonelier I feel. I completely understand all the stupid shit people say that makes zero sense due to a shitty mentally. Just today somebody told me "i already know I'm going to be unhealthy when I grow older so I dont want to live very long" and then someone else told me "I'm going to college for something I want to spend the rest of my life doing but I'm not much of a reader so I'm not gonna read any books on my subject, and I dont need mentors because thats what I'm learning in school" as I bite my tongue and internally cringe.

    I’m glad there are people like you and Dan Peña out there to remind people that hard work, hyper focus/obsessiveness, training, DOING, STARTING, and finishing the process to acquire growth is consistency combined with forbearance plus experiential wisdom gained combined with others downfalls you pick up on so in other words apply what works best for you and recycle what you can’t utilize. Thanks for sharing man. I appreciate the empowerment because truth based knowledge is more empowering than propaganda bullshit. Thank you wholeheartedly for everything you share with those who dare attempt to shatter their own paradigm in order to change their perspective on what it means and what it takes to accomplish whatever endeavors you are focused on. Systemize. Training. Assessment. Research. Time. Investment. Net. Gains. S.T.A.R.T.I.N.G. Is the process to finish closing up the cost of losses because we’re losing time by not applying what we receive from amazing finishers like Tai Lopez. Side note he’s profoundly generous with his experiential wisdom we should all be grateful. I am humbled 💯 Thanks for inspiring, motivating, guiding, sharing, and for all you do bud. Kudos.

    I like the Directness of the Video. People tell me I have talent. I tell them I've been drawing since 3 out of necessity. I am an imigrant kid and my parenys were too poor to buy me toys. So I drew them on paper anf played with my cut outs.
    My life has been the dame formula.
    I know nothing, but Im not afraid of that.
    I know bboys who train 24 7 and are very technical.
    But they lack the Charisma.
    I love hitting the gym and training, but likr you said the world is harsh.
    its not about nelieving in youreself.
    But more about keeping focus on thr vision and striving hard towards it.
    I have big dreams but Im willing to put in thr hours at the tegular jobs till it happens.
    All things in time.
    But I do feel you, some people really need to get kicked into gear.

    Cooking is more than just mixing ingredients. Using the right technique at the right time is the key. The techniques aren't difficult, but they do require practice for competence. Mastery only comes with repetition.

  • @jaronleasure9347
    @jaronleasure9347 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    That was great. Thank you Tai. I have been putting off the morning runs and the extra reps, but not anymore... I have always been told to work hard for what you want to achieve, but this video really just flat out told me to get up and go. If something is really worth you working for then work for it, because the moment you decide to not work for it is the moment you allow the competition to pass you, so don't spend your time congratulating yourself and spend more time working towards truly mastering your craft. So glad I found this video.

    Love this. The thing that puts the majority off engaging and adhering to this video and all your videos Tai - is them not being able to self audit and realise - you have made it and are willing to share the insight without ulterior motive.
    Hats off Sir

    Great advice. Training is always the answer. I would add by saying, "Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect." (a quote from my vocal coach). Training smart and hard is the answer.

      +matmc71 lol you are so deluded. luck has the smallest role in any success. and it is easy to be successful, just put in the effort day in and day out. what's hard is actually committing to the end result of that effort, just because you don't have the will power to do so doesn't make it very hard or even that successful people got lucky. you are exactly the kind of haters he despises.

    • @yashkemkar8586
      @yashkemkar8586 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +matmc71 its not called luck, its called taking opportunities.

    • @yashkemkar8586
      @yashkemkar8586 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +matmc71 yeah but its not like the lottery. that's why I said luck plays a very small part. it gives you that opportunity, but the rest 99% is your effort and hard work
