    The ability to do Astro with the wide angle lens is a great selling point for the DIII. It would be interesting to hear how they've improved tracking (HW, SW or both?) to allow longer exposures.

    2 things I can’t understand about the DWARF III :
    -why a non removable battery? Planned obsolescence? A strange choice in 2024.
    -the DWARF II was able to support a 512 Gb SD card. This one is limited to 128 Gb… why?
    Was about to buy it but now, I’m not sure.

    • @GalaxyArtMedia
      @GalaxyArtMedia  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think to be better sealed they went woth the non removable battery like on phones. And same with the card . They went probaly with 128 to keep dwarf 3 cheaper and 128 is enough if you download the data from time to time i only used 64 on dwarf 2 and was enough for everything including solar eclipses. having the option to replace the battet would be nice but if they will provide good batteries should not be a problem

    If you could only have one smart telescope which would you recommend S50 or D3? I have a D3 on order but thinking of cancelling and purchasing a S50. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

      Hello Dwarf 3 is newer and has wider field of view and more portable, more functions, for me the logical step would be the dwarf3 since i have use both dwarf 2 and seestar 50, and i am curious also abut the new dwarf. Let s say as an example the image quality is similar, then getting the wider field of view of the dwarf 3 would be the best option i believe

      @@GalaxyArtMedia Thanks for your thoughts. I'm hoping for lots of sample images before the D3 ships to compare against the S50. Hopefully this will give me a warm fuzzy feeling that I have made the right decision. Love the DSLR of the milkyway with the road, pretty amazing!

    Very nice. Thank you for showing these. Impressive images. I wonder what Bortle these were shot under? So, the Dwarf III can now take bias and flat frames in addition to the darks? Wow. For the 60 sec exposures, it's still doing plate solving, right? Not moving during the exposure, correct? Looking forward to time when they give you some telephoto images. Hopefully, soon.

      By the way do you know the degrees (width and height) of the tele and wide lens of the D3?
      I see different values here and there. I’m not sure which one is the correct one.

    Why ist here is no horizon as in the Nikon picture? Is it a limitation due to the size of the lens? That it can only capture a smaller area of the skyt? I really want to get a Dwarf, but I want to bigger part of the sky.

    • @GalaxyArtMedia
      @GalaxyArtMedia  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The lens is wide enough. Not horizon because of the angle of camera. Same is with a dslr lens to capture all sky from horizon to horizon tou need like 12 images or more combined in to a mosaic

      Trouble with Smartscopes is they get out of date in 2 years. A serious rig that's not the case, as the objective does not get outdated, just the camera, and is changeable. Not so with a smart scope, Every 2 years become outdated
