Hong Gi really is THAT person where you can never forget his voice and the emotions that come with it. I remember being of fan of their's immediately when they debuted, and they were my first KRock band. Honestly, the duet was also so sassy and cunty, I loved it also.

i'm sorry but no one would ever out-do Hongki especially with his song. the duo sounds incredible but Hongki is diffrent. He always makes his songs sounds grand and hurtful with his tone and emotions which i don't really get from the duo. Hongki's songs would always be his. no matter who covers it.
The melody of the original song that for a teenager who was in a broken heart period. For me, the original song (with the original artist) has "power and emotion" for everyone who was to scream and cry for their love.
With Hongki the song comes to live. The buildup, the crescendo…it is just perfect

@@syirahazok but as a diehard FT ISLAND fan, I have to say, Mujin’s version actually somehow made the song better. It’s the only one I acknowledge as having taken the OG and actually ADDING to it instead of just remaking it. I don’t know how to explain it, but Honggi’s I Hope version is always lit as usual, but Mujin’s version somehow managed to keep that while adding more heartbreak and sorrow. So I actually felt ok and accepted that being stolen because Mujin’s version did something to my heart, unlike the other people who tried to steal Honggi’s songs so far.

Literally no one can sing like Hongki, but the 1st duo do with their own style. But still I'll forever love HongKi version. His husky voice and his high notes are always my favourite ❤❤❤. I am kpop fan since gen 2 and I really like SHINee because they have stable vocal performance with hard dance, and I think Jonghyun is one of the best in vocal, but his place can't be sure no.1 for me because there's Lee Hongki. At that time FT island also active, and Hongki's vocal is incredible, seriously crazy.
Idk who to choose, Jonghyun or Hongki in terms of vocal. For me, they are legendary vocal in kpop, even til now. No idol comes close in terms of how powerful their vocal.
